     We’re still looking for ideas for a new PGHIG logo or design.  We’re hoping tomake some new buttons or magnets and your design could be featured!  

     We’re also considering a name change for the organization because we wereupgraded from an “interest group” to a full-status organization!  Submit yourname ideas to us and we will have members vote for their favorite at a futuremeeting!

    DPH-2 Belize Summer Service Learning Trips

  • areas of Belize by running pop up clinics in various villages.  This interprofessional mission tripwith Physician Assistant, Nursing and Pharmacy students lasted for a week as we servedmore than 400 patients. Patients would see either a nursing or PA student to be evaluated,then the student would present their case to the faculty then present their case to pharmacystudents and we would work together to come up with an optimal therapy for the patient. There were also opportunities for pharmacy students to see patients with PA and nursingstudents as well as provide consults to patients.  This trip is a really great opportunity to workin an interprofessional setting, provide care for a diverse population of under-served patients,practice clinical skills, and have some fun in the process!
