  • Objectives

    The Phillip Nova Application user guide highlights the features and functionalities of the 2FA

    application. Step by step instructions are outlined to generate a secure and unique one-time

    password (OTP) on users’ mobile devices, providing an additional protection against

    unauthorized access to their Phillip Nova accounts. Phillip Nova App can also be used to

    receive real time order notifications, announcements and financial news.

  • Phillip Nova App

    Register

    1) After opening the application, user will reach the Phillip Nova landing page. This

    page contains five main sections: Register, 2FA Activation, Notification History,

    Announcement and News.

    To navigate to the Register Page and register as an app user, tap on the Register

    icon.

  • 2) On the Register Page, user will need to input their Phillip Nova Username and

    Password.

    Tap on “Register” to proceed with registration.

    Notes:

    When to register?

    1. When you never register for Phillip Nova application before for Phillip Nova.

    2. When you change your mobile device. Please unbind from current device or contact

    IT-Support for re-registration.

  • 2FA Activation 1) After successful registration, user will be redirected back to the landing page.

    Application will show the name of the registered Phillip Nova user below the user

    icon.

    Tapping on the icon will direct user to Phillip Nova Mobile on browser.

    2) User will be prompted with a message to confirm 2FA Activation. Tap on “Yes” to

    proceed or “No” to cancel.

  • 3) On the 2FA OTP page, registered 2FA users* will get a 6-digit OTP. The OTP has a

    life duration of 30 seconds, at which a new OTP will be generated on screen after the

    last one expires. User will always need to enter the current OTP shown on the 2FA

    OTP page.

    *Kindly note that once registered as a 2FA user, the process cannot be manually reversed

    and requires the assistance of IT-Support to remove a 2FA user. Please contact IT-Support

    for such instances.

  • Trading

    3.1 Login

    1) The Trading module will ask for user login passcode every time user login to trading.

    If user enters an incorrect passcode, user will be directed back to home page.

  • 2) For the first time login, use r will be asked to enable Biometric Authentication. If user enable it, biometric data will be asked for every login attempts.

    *Screenshots taken from iPhone 6S which is using Touch ID. The biometric authentication method might be different on other devices.

    After 3 fail attempts to login using Biometric authentication, it will ask for device passcode in

    Apple’s devices. In Android devices, it allows user to retry or use passcode for every fail

    attempts.

  • 3) User can manually enable/disable Biometric Authentication in Setting. Setting button is located in the home page.

    User can toggle on/off the Allow Biometric Authentication. After that, click on Save to apply the

    setting.

  • 3.2 watch list

    1. Watchlist Tab to view the list of products being monitored

    2. Orders Tab to view your working and completed orders

    3. Summary tab to view your trade summary and open positions

    4. More Tab to change notification, language and announcements

    5. Section to show day low price

    6. Section to show day high price

    7. Section to show the Bid Price (look at this price if you want to short)

    8. Section to show Ask Price (look at this price if you want to long)

    9. The Rows to show the bid-ask prices as well as its prices for day high and day low that has

    been added to the watchlist

    10. Edit tab to edit the products in the watchlist or the watchlist name

  • Edit WatchList

    1. Back Button to return to watchlist Page

    2. Watchlist Name

    3. Click to rename watchlist

    4. Click to delete the entire watchlist

  • Delete contract from WatchList

    1. Click to remove particular contract from your watchlist

  • Create New WatchList

    1. Click watchlist to open the dropdown to switch to a different watchlist or create a new

    watchlist

  • 2. Click Create Watchlist + to form a new watchlist

  • 3. Key in the name of the watchlist of user’s desire

  • Options to Place Order, View Market Depth & Live Chart

    1. Click the product in the watchlist for prompt box to pop out for placing order or viewing its

    market depth

    2. Click on the place order tab to place a trade

    3. Alternatively, a trade can be placed through a market depth. Market depth is a price ladder

    screen from which user can trade the full depth of market for a contract

    4. Click on the Chart button to view live chart of the particular product.

  • Place Order Page

    1. Back Button to return to watchlist page

    2. Section to show day low price of the contract

    3. Section to show last done price of the contract

    4. Section to show day high price of the contract

    5. Section to show yesterday settlement price which is the price at which the contract settles

    the day before

    6. Section to show total volume or total contracts that were being traded during the day

    7. Section to show change of price between yesterday settlement price and last done price

    8. Bid-ask price showing the best price can be sold and bought at a given point of time

    9. User can key in the quantity or number of lots user want to trade

    10. User can click for dropdown to select the order types they want to use to place order

    11. Buy/Sell Button to submit an order, upon clicking, a confirmation order box will pop out for

    final confirmation before submitting to the exchange

    5. User can key in the price they wish to adjust for the working order

    1. An active series month chart will plot the continuous chart. A continuous chart will plot continuously for every active month. It will be updated on the rollover date.

  • Trading Dialog / Chart Trade Ticket Feature

    1. Chart trade ticket will auto open when user first opens the chart. If the chart trade ticket is closed, user can open it back by choosing ‘Trading Dialog’ option in dropdown.

    2. First, user to click on Sell or Buy to choose whether to place a sell or buy order.

    3. User to specify Order Type, Quantity and Price (price type shown will change depending on Order Type chosen) for the order.

    4. Click on Place Order to place order via chart trade ticket.

  • 3.4 Summary Page

    1. Account details of the user, click on the currency selection bar for change of currency rate

    and account summary rate would follow the selected currency

    2. List of current open position of the user

    3. Yesterday settlement price for overnight position or average filled price for intraday position

    4. Quantity or number of lots holded

    5. Last done price of the contract

    6. Unralised profit or loss

    1. Phillip Nova Registration Key. For those who want to use Phillip Nova user to receive

    notification and/or register as 2FA

  • Notification History

    1) Whenever there are any new notifications from Phillip Nova platforms, the application

    will alert the user by sending push notifications.

  • 2) User will see the list of Notification History received within one week. Pulling down the screen from the top will refresh the page and show the latest notifications.

  • 3) To expand details, tap on the notification.

  • 4) User also has the option to turn the Order Notification History on/off in Settings. To

    navigate to Settings, tap on “Settings” button (as shown).

  • 5) On the Settings screen, toggle the Order Notification History by turning it on or off.

    After that, make sure to save the setting by tapping on the “Save” button (as shown).

    Announcement

    1) User will be able to receive push notifications for Announcements related to Phillip

    Nova from the app. New Announcements are indicated by a red dot on the

    Announcement section. Click on Announcement to see list of received

  • announcements. Alternatively, tapping on the push notification will also bring user to

    the Announcements page.

  • 2) Announcements are stored in the user’s Announcement page as long as they are still within the validity period. Announcements with red dots are new and have not been read by the user.

  • 3) To expand details, tap on the announcement.

  • 4) User also has the option to turn the Announcement Notification on/off in Settings. To

    navigate to Settings, tap on “Settings” button (as shown).

  • 5) On the Settings screen, toggle the Announcement Notification by turning it on or off.

    After that, make sure to save the setting by tapping on the “Save” button (as shown).

  • News

    1) User may subscribe to News and view them from within the Phillip Nova app.

  • 2) On the News screen, user will first need to tap on News Subscription button (as

    shown) to begin subscribing to News.

  • 3) From the News Subscription setting, user can choose the News that they would like

    to subscribe to by toggling on/off on the chosen News category. To save the selected

    News Subscription, tap on the “Save” button.

  • 4) Once subscribed, User will be able to see the subscribed News on the News section

    in the Phillip Nova App. Tapping on one of the News will redirect user to a new

    screen with more details regarding the news.

  • Unbind from App

    1) Users also have the option to unbind their Phillip Nova account from the app, in

    cases such as when they need to use the account on a different device.

    To unbind account on the app, navigate to Settings.

  • 2) On the Settings Page, click on ‘Unbind Account’ button to unbind the current Phillip

    Nova account from the app.

  • 3) Once user has unbound the account, Notifications, Announcements and News will no

    longer be sent on the app.

    User may register on Nova App again for the account using the same device or

    another device if necessary.
