3. The power of sin has limited us from entering into a relationship with God.

a. Original Sin is the condition of separation from God that each person is in from the moment of their conception.

b. Sin has darkened our intellect, weakened our will, and made sin look attractive (concupiscence).

c. We are subject to spiritual and physical death.

a. God has slowly regathered His broken family through the institution of covenants, culminating in Christ.

b. Through Christ’s passion, death, Resurrection, He showed us a life of obedience, free from sin.

c. Through the Holy Spirit given to us in Baptism, we are united in grace with the Trinity.

4. Only in Christ do we have the hope of overcoming Original sin and all its effects.
