Phoebe lost her battle with Cancer on Saturday, October 26th, 2019 surrounded by family at her daughter’s home in Bismarck, ND. Phoebe, daughter of the late LeRoy Archambault and Joyce (Village Center) Rush was born on September 16th, 1960 in Fort Worth, TX. Phoebe attended Bullhead Day School, Chamberlain Boarding School, Fort Yates High School, Stephan Boarding School. Upon graduation Phoebe attended Sitting Bull College. Phoebe worked at Standing Rock High School as a cook for several years. Phoebe met and married Henry Silk and together they had 2 children, Joshua and Whitney Silk. Phoebe made her home in Fort Yates, ND. Phoebe was a reborn Christian and accepted Jesus into her life as her personal savior. She was baptized in the name of Jesus. She attended The Word of God Ministries Church in Fort Yates, ND and Prairie Bible Church in McLaughlin, SD. Wherever Phoebe went, she would often speak about the Lord and how truly wonderful he is. In Phoebe’s free time she loved to cook, her speciality was making ga boo boo bread. She also liked to study her bible & read scripture daily. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, she would record her brother “Ol Padre” when he would play gospel on KLND. Another favorite past time of Phoebe’s was yard sales & thrifting, she always found good finds. She had a cat named Kitty that was very near & dear to her heart. Kitty passed away in the win-ter of 2018. Phoebe was a loving Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Mother, Grand Mother, and Friend to all of those who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing her. She especially loved all 4 of her grandkids. It brings us great comfort knowing Phoebe is in Glory, with our Lord and Savior. Phoebe is survived by her daughter Whitney Silk of Bismarck, her 4 grandkids Shavon & Maddie Gates of Fort Yates, Memphis Ashlock of Skiatook Oklahoma, and Riley Mae Silk of Fort Yates. 3 Sisters, Barbara Archambault of Selfridge, Pamela Archambault of Mo-bridge, Kayann Archambault of Bismarck, 1 brother Lloyd Archambault of Bismarck, and numerous nieces & nephews to name that she loved very much. Phoebe is preceded in death by her husband Henry Silk, her son, Joshua Silk, by her par-ents LeRoy Archambault & Joyce Rush, brothers, Michael Blue, Rocky, Billy, & Ira Archambault.

In Loving Memory of:
Phoebe Jean Silk September 16, 1960 ~ October 26, 2019
We’ll see each other Every now and then
And savor those moments Till we’re together again
Because distance isn’t about
Being far apart It’s about surviving
With only half a heart
But I’ll survive Because our love is true And you guys love me As much as I love you
- Whitney
Sometimes when you think when you are in the wrong just remember Jesus Christ
When you fall know who is there to pick you up again God loves all
He is a part of you Born into a world of sin
Live by Jesus’s words, follow him When you hear these words you are on your way
On your way with Jesus Christ in your heart God is there right from the start
Born into this world of sin I was innocent, never grew up with these ways until bible school.

Heaven Needed Mom
So many things of mom I miss Her gentle hug and tender kiss
I still can feel her warm embrace and picture yet her loving face A mother’s tasks are never done and heaven must have needed one
For angels came and took her hand and led her to gods promised land She’s surely kept quite busy there while brushing little angels hair
And making sure they’re dressed just right & not staying out too late at night Although there’s sadness this I know, moms, she’s waiting there
Her face aglow I close my eyes and I can see mom has her arms still open wide for me
- I love you MAMA, Whitts
Distance It’ll be heartache
It’ll be crying And it’ll take will
To keep on trying
It’s not for the weak Or those afraid of pain
It’s for two hearts That are one in the same
It won’t be easy
This much is true And it can’t be done alone
It’ll take two
