    A solar lamp is a portable light fixture composed of alight-emitting diode ( LED), a photovoltaic solar panel ,and one or more rechargeable batteries .Outdoor lamps are used for lawn and garden decorations. Indoor solar lamps are also used for generalillumination.Solar lamps recharge during the day. At dusk, they turnon automatically and remain illuminated overnight,depending on how much sunlight they receive during theday.Discharging time is generally 8 to 10 hours. Solar lightsdo not provide as much light as a line-powered lightingsystem, but they are easily installed and maintained, andprovide a cheaper alternative to wired lamps.
