THEMED “Beautiful Shenzhen and Colorful Life,” the 12th Shenzhen Park Culture Week hosts more than 230 activities in 27 parks from Dec. 2 to 8.

The event was kicked off Dec. 2 with an opening ceremony at Lianhua Hill Park, where creative performances, such as The Book of Songs, Scottish bagpiping and a fashion show, delivered a perfect combination of traditional Chinese culture, internationalization and aesthetics. Citizens could also see specialty kites such as the 120-meter long noctilucent kite, soft kite and 3-D kite from Dec. 2 to 3 at Shenzhen Central Park.

Lianhua Hill Park is exhibiting various breeds of bougainvillea fl owers, Shen-zhen’s city fl ower, as well as giant plant statues of animals to show enthusiasm for Shenzhen’s fl ower culture and humanity. (Nan Nan)
