Title of shoot: Riff cover photos

Theme: Grungy, chilled and adolescent environment. Background being graffiti bricked wall.

Location of photo-shoot: Warrington

Meeting point: Latchford, Warrington, River Mersey.

Hair: Curly messy hair for the first model. Quite straight brushed over hair for the second.

Wardrobe: For the curly haired model, I would like him to be wearing a hat. I would also like quite laid back clothes, with a coat and cardigan on underneath. I also would like the first model to be wearing black skinny jeans. For the second model, I would like him to be wearing a Harrington Jacket as these are quite stereotypical for the Indie/alternative music genre. I also would like this person to wear a flowery vintage shirt underneath with jeans on.

Make-up: None.

Props: A guitar in a guitar bag, on model 2’s back.

Title of shoot: Riff double page spread photos.

Theme: In the bands practice room, on the streets, in the bands back garden.

Location of photo-shoot: Warrington.

Meeting point: Warrington town centre.

Hair: There are 3 people in the band, for Tom Darlington, I would like him to have very big hair, with some slight curls in it, For Nathan Weaver I would like him to just have quite untouched natural hair. And for the band Member Josh Carmichael as he has quite thick hair I would just like it messy a little bit, but not over the top as Tom will already have messy hair.

Wardrobe: As a band, they have their own fashion; however, I would like them to all be wearing black denim jeans. I would like Tom Darlington to be wearing a denim jacket. I need them to be wearing quite basic non distracting colours.

Make-up: None.

Props: When taking photos on the streets, I would like their to be a guitar which Tom can hold. When in their practice studio, they will be performing so using their instruments, when I go to the garden, just like the streets I would like Tom to be holding the guitar. I also would like them to have the Tyre’s they usually sit outside and practice on, as this creates a grungy effect and has meaning behind it.

Title of shoot: Riff contents photos.

Theme: Just photos of different bands that relate to big articles in the magazine.

Location of photo-shoot: Warrington, Priestly college.

Meeting point: Priestley College.

Hair:

Leah Webster: Hair up in a half bun with a bandana in.

Megan Matthews: Hair down with side fringe

Wardrobe: I wanted all the artists to be in quite casual clothes, ones they would wear in their everyday life yet a bit quirky. For the first photo, a photo-shoot with ‘The pixies’ as they are quite Indie/punk, I let them choose their own clothes, sticking to a bold burgundy dress and specked cardigan for Megan Matthews and a Vans top and tartan leggings for Leah Webster as this shows the style of artists they are and their own personality.

For the photo with a 3 man band, I have took photos in a woods, with a leather jacket and jeans for the lead singer and the rest just in casual jackets and jeans. The photo is going to be black and white so colours wouldn’t be noticed.
