It is important because all bodily systems can only function optimally when PH is in balance. Checking PH regularly with saliva strips, can provide important information about slowed metabolism, aches and pains, allergies, dehydration, circulation, digestion, vitamin absorption, healthy skin and more. Simple ways to improve your PH balance are to: Add lemon/lime/cucumber to your glass of water to make the body more alkaline Limit highly acidic foods such as meat, dairy (except kefir/cottage cheese), soft drinks Eat more alkalinizing foods such as vegetables, fruits, berries, cottage cheese, yogurt Increase water intake since the body is 70% water Get some sun, fun and vitamin D which aids in calcium absorption (calcium neutralizes PH) Exercise for better circulation, metabolism, lymph system, stress reduction For help in identifying your PH and making a plan for better health, call and book a nutrition consultation today. Do you suffer from dizziness and vertigo? Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, or BPPV, is the most common cause of vertigo due to a peripheral vestibular disorder. Common complaints associated with BPPV: Vertigo, and possibly nausea when bending forward, looking up, rolling over in bed, and lying down. Balance problems may also be present. BPPV can be a frightening, frustrating, and debilitating condition, with the ability to severely disrupt the quality of one’s life. The good news however, is that it can be completely eradicated with proper diagnosis and treatment. Here at HBT, we have extensive experience and a high success rate in treating the symptoms and causes of BPPV. For accurate diagnosis and treatment of BPPV, call and book a consultation with one of the physiotherapists at Healthy Balance Therapeutics today. What is Body PH and Why Does it Matter?
