Dear Parents and Carers,

I’m not sure where that very short half term has gone but we will be on holiday for a week from this Friday at 12:00. Group G were out beachcombing and enjoying the sea air as part of their Outdoor Education, this week, and several young people are representing the school over in Kircaldy for an athletics event today.

The Green group and Ms Laird have been teaching us a Scottish dancing routine as we continue with exploring the theme of Scotland and Scottish culture and the Blue Group and Kyle Long are performing in a music concert in association with Pilmeny Youth Club.

PIPES & DRUMS

As most of you already know, we have tutors in school on a weekly basis, teaching pipes and drums. This is now the 4th year of this successful partnership and it’s going from strength to strength. This morning, under the professional tuition of David Murray, a few drummers practiced a piece which I recorded. The group are amazing, and the video can be seen on our Twitter page - check it out! Well done to all the pipers and drummers for their amazing progress and fantastic performances!
