Axonometric Projection Axonometric projection is a parallel
projection technique used to create
pictorial drawings of objects by rotatingthe object on an axis relative to aprojection plane to create a pictorialview.

Axonometric Projection
Axonometric drawings are classified bythe angles between the lines comprising
the axonometric axes: Trimetric- all three angles are unequal. Dimetric - two of the three angles are equal.
Isometric - all three angles are equal.

Isometric Axonometric
Projections
An isometric view of an object is created by rotating it 45degrees about a vertical axis, then tilted forward until thebody diagonal of the cube (A-B) appears as a point in thefront view. The angle the cube is titled forward is 35degrees 16 minutes.
The three corners meet to form equal angles of 120degrees and is called the isometric axis. All the edges ofthe cube are parallel to the edges that make up theisometric axis since projections of parallel lines are
parallel. Isometric lines Isometric planes

Perspective Projections
Perspective drawing techniques areused primarily because they come the
closest to representing objects andscenes as we would view them in thereal world. One of the most importantfeatures of perspective drawings is theconvergence of parallel edges as theyrecede from the viewer.
