What a week it’s been! The weather has certainly turned to fall and the temperatures and leaves are reminding us that winter is not far ahead. We are excited to enjoy these days! On Saturday, three of our student athletes will represent Immanuel at the National Cross Country Meet at Concordia University Wisconsin. We are excited to watch our very own Shane, the State Champion, advance to the next level of competition along with Hayden and Alex! Our volleyball teams have been accepted to the State Volleyball Tournament in Springfield November 5-7, and our musical is getting ready to go on November 12! Adding to that excitement, our first quarter has ended and Report Cards are coming home today! Parent Teacher Conferences are right around the corner, so please make sure you sign up for those. We are excited to meet with you! The other good news is that our new cross is ready for placement and we’re lining up the equipment to place it atop our building! Exciting times are here, for sure! All that as we continue to gather around Word and Sacrament in worship. Our littlest students are singing in worship this Sunday and they’ve been practicing mightily! It’s a joy to listen to them sing excitedly and share the greatest news of all - that Jesus Loves Them - and each of us! The word that was used throughout this message is the word excitement. These are exciting times for Immanuel and for our families. We pray that God would continue to give us opportunities to share His Good News - with joy and excitement -In All Things! PARENT-TEACHER CONFER-ENCES ARE NOVEMBER 1-5
(Remember: Early Dismissal at 11:30 am on Thu 11/4 and No School on Fri 11/5)
Here's how to sign up:

3. Then find your child's grade and enter your child's name.
4. Select the date and time that you'd like your conference.
5. If you have other children, you will do the same for them.
6. Next, let us know if there are other times you could meet, just in case we have a problem.
7. Then, submit it!
8. It's that easy!
You should receive a confirmation email pretty quickly after you submit. If you have problems with the sign-up or if you need to make changes, please contact Mrs. Lori Anderson at [email protected]. Or you can contact your teacher directly if the times available don't work for your family.

Worship
No need to register for any of our worship services as we gather on Saturday afternoon at 5 and then again on Sunday morning at 8 and 10:30. The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated on Saturday as well as 10:30 on Sunday morning. If you are out of town or too sick to attend worship please join us via livestream.

Weekend Events!
*Shane, Hayden and Alex will be traveling to Nationals.
*Varsity boys volleyball team will be competing in the Roselle tournament.
*Varsity girls volleyball team will be competing in the St. Paul tournament in Wisconsin.
*Both Boy’s and Girl’s Volleyball Teams are getting ready for the State Tournament in Springfield , Illinois.
Group Sport Pictures will be taken next week on Wednesday 10/27 after lunch! Uniforms needed for pictures!!

MUSIC NOTES
Immanuel’s PK3 and PK 4 students will be adding “Jesus Loves Me” and “Ephesians 4:32” to the 10:30 church service this Sunday, October 24th.
The School Chorus (gr. 5-8 Chancel Choir) sings in NEXT Saturday’s (10/30) 5:00 pm service.
Band News: We’re back at it! ILS gr. 7-8 instrumentalists are meeting for lessons with Mr. Gade on Fridays. Over the past few weeks, Mr. Gade has also met with fifth and sixth grade musicians who’ve expressed an interest learning an instrument. They had a chance to “try on” instruments from different families and talked about which might be a good fit for them.
We need your help! We are in need of a volunteer(s) to help with changing the lettering on the outdoor sign at school when needed.
