North West NamibiaA visit to the Herrero and Himba tribesBetween the town of Opuwo and Epupa water falls.
The following pictures were taken along the main road to the town and falls.

The mix of human scenery in the town of Opuwo is wilder than any possible fantasy.
The Herrero and Himba tribes coexist peacefully in the town.

A visit to a local Himba village not far from the falls.
Grinding of Ochre that is later mixed with butter and applied to the whole body giving it a reddish tinge.
