Dear readers, dear customers,
operate successfully – serve the common welfare – help lovingly
This philosophy is LIQUI MOLY‘s recipe for success. They are the principles of the social market economy by which we trade and which we show to the outside world. We do not see our customers as a number on a piece of paper, but as companions. Personal contact, individually trading but fighting for a common goal.
And we do not forget those are close to our hearts: on ‚Mandela Day‘ in South Africa, a day of charity, our colleagues visited day nurseries and gave out presents, sweets and warm clothing to the children. As you can see on our cover picture and on the right page, in return we saw children‘s eyes light up and received a big ‚thank you‘ and a great deal of hope in return.
We were also able to help as part of our sponsoring at the MercedesCup tennis tournament in Stuttgart. A meet & greet with tennis star Tommy Haas was auctioned for charity, the proceeds of which went directly to the Ernst Prost Foundation and therefore to aid projects.
In July we were also once again able to enthuse many customers across the world: with racing action at the WTCC in Portugal and the Moto2 in Germany, at exhibitions such as the Automechanika Middle East in Dubai and the Autoshow in Minsk (Belarus) or at training and promotion sessions in China.
I hope you enjoy reading it!

Meeting for a good causeBidding for something you
can‘t buy and then even doing good as a result. That was the reason why Thomas Vandreé bought a meet & greet with
tennis star Tommy Haas at an auction.
While at the MercedesCup ATP tournament in Stuttgart,
Haas took the time for a casual chat.
The auction was held via the ‚United Charity‘ portal, an auction exchange for good causes. The proceeds of the
auction were given directly to the Ernst Prost Foundation without a single cent being deducted, for the benefit of
the ‚Straßenkinder e.V‘ society in Berlin.

The ‚unsung heroes‘ of the work
Anne Grundig is the link between HR and the management office.
She organises events such as plant tours, meetings or training sessions and is responsible for the fleet. In addition, she looks after application management
and other personnel tasks.
In this edition we would like to present you with colleagues who do not work in one department but still contribute towards the success
of LIQUI MOLY and MÉGUIN with their hard work.

The ‚unsung heroes‘ of the work
Jörg Weber is an architect at MÉGUIN and therefore the first line of contact when it comes to structural changes of any kind at the
plant site in Saarlouis. He looks after the restoration of old forest and the new planning of industrial plants and buildings
(e.g. production and storage space), from obtaining permits right up to completion. For example, he oversaw the construction of the fuel depot in Saarhafen Dillingen. In addition, Weber is the
contact for the authorities.
Stefanie Linsler is the friendly face at reception and greets
visitors and guests. She coordinates inbound calls
and deals with the incoming and outgoing post. She takes
photos of (company) visitors on plant tours and also partially
works in HR, e.g. by preparing personnel statistics.

Additives like a chemical tool boxMany technical problems can be quickly and simply solved with the help of additives – and cheaply with an attractive margin. LIQUI MOLY shows what its additives are capable of and what outstanding instruments they are for forging customer loyalty.
Liqui Moly
To start off: additives are not miracle-workers. They cannot halve your fuel consumption
and double the amount of horse-power. They cannot heal serious mechanical defects and cannot re-surrect dead engines. No spanner can do this either. But, like their mechanical colleague, additives as a chemical spanner are valuab-le instruments which enhance the toolbox of every workshop and are often suitable to be sold to car dri-vers themselves.
LIQUI MOLY has many dozens of additives in its programme – each a specialist in its area. Some solve existing problems, others ensure
that problems don't occur in the first place. The most important are-as of use for additives are cleaning, wear protection, maintenance, re-pair and special applications.
The idea behind cleaning ad-ditives is simple: clean means performance. A factory-new engine provides maximum performance and fuel efficiency. Combustion residue is always created in the combustion chamber and oil cyc-le when driving which cause the engine to fall further and further below its optimum level. This cree-ping loss of performance can only be dealt with by removing the resi-dues. Cleaning the interior of the
engine mechanically is very time-consuming. It is much simpler and faster to use special additives. LI-QUI MOLY MotorClean, for example, is a highly effective cleaner for the oil cycle. It is added just before an oil change and dissolves oil sludge, fuel inputs and deposits which are then drained together with the old oil. The fresh motor oil enters a clean engine and can then deploy its maximum performance.
In wear protection the key is to re-duce friction in the engine. Less friction means less fuel consumpti-on. Wear is also reduced, lowering the risk of engine failure and al-lowing the engine to last longer.

There are tiny ceramic particles in LIQUI MOLY Cera Tec which protec-tively attach themselves to all metal parts. Along with this mechanical wear protection, Cera Tec also in-cludes a chemical wear protection. This double-effect and the fact that the effects of Cera Tec last for up to 50,000 km and even endure an oil change makes this additive a spe-cial economical product. It is also suitable for gearboxes and genera-tors.
Care additives reproduce the ori-ginal quality of materials and maintain them. An example of this is LIQUI MOLY Oil Leak Stop. It was developed for older vehicles, the seals of which have become hard and brittle, meaning they lose oil. It regenerates the seals and makes them soft and flexible again.
LIQUI MOLY Anti Bacteria Additive is one of the special applications. It fights the diesel menace, i.e. the formation bacteria in the diesel tank. Particularly during long statio-nary periods, they reproduce in the separating layer between diesel and water and form a dark slime which eventually clogs up fuel filters and forces the engine to succumb.
Several additives such as the Ra-diator Stop Leak are real repair helpers. If the radiator has small tears in it and constantly loses wa-ter, then all that is required is to add the additive to the radiator. It includes special plastic particles which accumulate around the tears under pressure and block them. If the coolant becomes hot enough, they melt and permanently seal the tears.
Many additives are not only suita-ble for use in workshops, but can also be sold to car drivers. Other-wise, LIQUI MOLY has a product range, ProLine, just for professional users in workshops. The additives are more strongly concentrated and require a greater level of care when being used. There are also products in the ProLine range which were de-veloped after specific suggestions for workshops, such as the Thrott-le Valve Cleaner for petrol engines and its counterpart, the Intake Sys-tem Cleaner Diesel. They remove deposits from the intake area and
the throttle valve. Things which previously had to be mechanically cleaned with a great deal of effort are now solved quickly and simply with chemicals.
Additives are not only providing good services on the technical side of things. They also increase customer loyalty to the workshop. This works in two ways. On the one hand, because additives are a cost-effective alternative to conventional solutions. Thus, LIQUI MOLY has de-veloped a cleaning set with which blocked diesel particle filters can be unblocked without being taken apart. The expensive replacement of the entire filter is therefore avo-ided. On the other hand, additives help with customer loyalty because they can be integrated into your ser-vice packages. If a car arrives for an oil change, the workshop can not only change the oil, but also clean the oil system with MotorClean, add Cera Tec to the new oil as wear protection and sell several cans of fuel additives, which keep the injection system clean, to the cus-tomer. Such service packages also offer relief against pricing pressure from competitors because now the customer is being offered real ad-ded value. This is also worth while financially, as the use and sale of additives allow attractive margins to be targeted.

ULM, Germany – The Altrom Group, the import parts division of Genuine Parts Co., has awarded LIQUIMOLY its "Supplier of the Year" award. The award was presented at the Altrom Sales Summit in Seattle,Wash.
"This is a great honor for us and inspires us to continue offering not only topproducts but first class service in the future," said Manfred Fischer, responsible for North American operations of LIQUI MOLY.
LIQUI MOLY also won this same accolade two years prior. The AltromGroup's Supplier of the Year award is a combined award for both the USAand Canada. Eligible companies are judged in the areas of quality, commitment, sales growth, marketing initiatives, training and sales support, commitment to meeting orders and partnership.
“It was through hard work, dedication and partnership that made it allpossible,” said Pat Nichol, president of Altrom. “I’m sure there will be othervendors hard on their tail in the coming year to try and gain that spot.”
LIQUI MOLY is a longtime partner with Altrom, as import vehicles are themain market of both companies. Fischer noted that in particular, automobilesfrom Europe often require not just any motor oil, but rather a special oilprecisely suited to the engine.
"We at LIQUI MOLY have the right oil for every automobile, with the official approval of the automobilemanufacturer," said Fischer. "The wrong oil doesn't just mean a voided warranty. Fuel consumption andwear also increase significantly, and there is a danger of serious damage to the engine."
The recipe for success of LIQUI MOLY goes beyond top products made in Germany. These are supportedby training seminars and technical support, as well as sales tips and marketing materials, he added.
"They represent not the end but the beginning of our work," Fischer said. "With LIQUI MOLY, the customerreceives not only motor oils and additives, but also extensive complete packages. That is what makes usand our customers so successful on the market."

To świetna ekipa.
