Founded 1974 as Pipeline Engineering Installation

Services (PEIS), the company specialised activities in the

late 70-ties and early 80-ties, via pipeline – cleaning and

testing services, into it’s present line of pigging products,

which in 1982 is fi nally laid down in the name PEAS 82:

Together with PM&H (contracting) and OPES (trading),

PEAS 82 forms the Peas Group.

Over the years, we have been focusing on a unique “one-

shop-stop” philosophy, whereby our clients rely on our

expertise to get the best solution for their pig-related

problem or requirements.

In this respect we do not limit ourselves to offering

one, of the many, off-the-shelf products that PEAS 82

has in stock, but – when specifi ed or preferred – we are

also happy to deliver items from the range of products,

supplied by selected colleagues.

Today, PEAS 82 has become a leading manufacturer

and supplier of a complete range of pipeline pigs and

accessories, with a reputation for realistic pricing, high

quality, fast and reliable deliveries as well as providing

world-wide support to the Pipeline Industry, especially in

sectors where optimum pipefl ow is essential, such as:

• oil & gas, mainly, but also

• water, seawage & effl uent,

• chemical & petro-chemical,

• mining & power generation,

• food-processing and pharmaceutical industries.

The company’s commercial headquarters are located

in Amersfoort (Netherlands) with modern production

facilities in the Overijssel province and in the Durham

county (UK). PEAS 82 adopts quality standards and

best practices worldwide, like ISO-9001: 2000/ BS 5750

ISO - 9002 / BS 5750 Part II certifi cation provides an

additional guarantee that we provide you with the best

outsourced pigging products and services to meet your

requirements.

Pigging solutions worldwide

A. Pigs for batching, separating, cleaning, gauging, fi lling, dewaxing & drying

All polyurethane-elastomer Pigs devided into:

• multi-purpose pigs with a solid, polyurethane body, c/w

3 (or 4) cups, out of which 2 cups can be replaced by a

gauging-plate and/or circular-wire brush(es),

• single-moulded pigs (so: no interchangeable or

replaceable parts), including Spheres (solid and/or

infl atable models) and Flexi-pigs (fi tted with Bi-Di discs).

Options: different grades of p.u., foodgrade, FDA-

approved p.u. and/or magnets.

Pigs suitable for short-radius (R= 1,5.D -> upwards) bends

& pipelines with reduced ID’s.

Metal Bodied Pigs, available with HD (heavy duty) Cups,

Conical (long-run) Cups, and/or Bi-Directional (sealers &

guiders) Discs, as sealing elements.

Suitable to fi t with (a combination of):

• dual-diameter discs,

• circular-wire brushes

• spring-loaded brushunits or plough blades,

• magnet rings,

• jetting head and/or by-pass facility,

• gauging plate,

• scraping-ring,

• bumper-nose,

• pinger/transmitter unit,

• joint coupling,

• pulling eye(s).

Pigs suitable for medium-radius

(R = 3.D -> upwards) bends.

Foam Pigs, manufactured in different densities poly-

urethane foam (2–20 lbs/ft.3) polyurethane, available as:

• uncoated/bare,

• spirally-coated,

• full-coated,

• criss/cross-coated,

• silicone carbide-coated,

• wire brush-coated (partially or fully attached).

PEAS 82’ scope of supply includes the following items (note: some of them produced locally with our partners, to achieve local content), i.e.:

Options: bi-di end(s), towing loop(s), extended lengths and

transmitter-cavity.

Pigs are suitable for passing tight (R<1.D) and mitred bends,

pipeline-sections with signifi cent ID-reductions and can be

launched/received without the use of L/R trap or pig valve.

B. Pigging–systems, spares and services (PEAS82 & alternative brands) include:

Systems such as:

• launcher and receiver traps (L/R),

• quick-opening-closures (QOC), in different models, like

threaded, toolless, etc.

• pig passage indicators (Pig-Sigs), both ‘intrusive’ (mechanical

and/or electrical output, connected by boss or fl ange, direct-

mounted or through a ball valve, and ‘non-intrusive’ models.

• pig valve (API 6D) in top-entry or side-entry design for

batching/separating – or cleaning purposes (optional with

bypass facility).

Spares such as:

• standard & conical cups in p.u., neoprene, nitrile and viton,

• discs (sealing- & guiding) in the same materials,

• gauging plates (in steel and aluminium, straight or slotted),

• brushes (circular-wire and spring-mounted in carbon-steel,

stainless-steel or nylon), fi tting all types of pig-bodies,

• spare seals & accessories for closures and pig valves.

Services such as:

• pipeline-inspection, maintenance and cleaning,

• pipeline profi le & evaluation,

• pigging tools inspection, cleaning and maintenance

(frequently operated by one of our services centres abroad).

PEAS 82’ production center is basicly devided in 3 sections,

characterised by:

Engineering/design section: utilizing tailor-made 3D -

CAD design computers for all kinds of standard and special

pigging tools; all of them are extensively tested before

being released to our CAM facilities and to our customers.

Polyurethane section: equipped with the ‘state-of-art’

dispensing equipment, moulding polyurethane foams &

elastomers, with excellent wear and tear features. Specially

formulated p.u.’s deal with non-standard pipe-conditions

as: high & low temperatures, aggresive media and

foodindustry area’s.

Regular testing procedures of p.u. samples and fi xed

products in our own lab’s – as laid down in our QA/QS

system – ensure our clients always highest p.u.-quality.

Fabrication section: equipped with modern CNC welding

machines and a variety of tools, allowing us to cover

the complete process ‘in-house’, from manufacturing

prototypes, moulds and pig-related parts to the assembly

of complete pigs and pigging tools. We execute all

applicable test on critical items, including hydrotesting

pressure retaining parts, prior to shipment.
