CAPSULE 2 - WHY "THE SECRET" DOESN'T WORK FOR EVERYONE In capsule one, you experienced an introduction to Ancient Egyptian or Kemetic philosophies of Ma’at. These mirrored the modern-day equivalent known as Law of Attraction as developed by protégés of Einstein. In capsule two, Neteru, “the secret” of Ma’at is further explored. Neteru of Kamit or “Gods and Goddesses” was a set of teachings about the cosmic forces of order and progress. The Ancient Egyptians believed that to build wealth, you must set an energetic tone that will resonate with the universe or Neteru. Should the Neteru find favor with your efforts, Neteru will enhance them through nature. While strikingly similar to the Law of Attraction, Neteru of Kamit in the teachings of Ma’at point out one critical difference. That difference is why “the secret” doesn’t work for everyone. Current teachings of the Law of Attraction often support chasing after your dream applying mere visualization to feed the daily emotion. Instead, “the secret” of Neteru is not desire or working to attain a dream, but rather releasing inner ariu. Ariu is the total of your feelings, thoughts, and experiences from the past. It forms the basis for the way you think and act today. Thus, it influences your mindset or approach to everyday events. Some cultures refer to this as the “nurture” of lifetime influences distinct from your innate “nature.” Others know ariu by a related name, karma. The “secret” to achieve what you want in life requires you to change those things that have kept you from reaching success. Since your “nature” is the very personality you were born with that cannot change. Instead, your “nurture” or ariu or karma must be modified at the subconscious level. When you correct how you interpret your feelings and thoughts, and modify your actions to be diligent and positive, a general pattern of success will follow. You will align your thoughts, practices, and expectations with the cosmos or universe. This, according to Neteru of Kamit will resonate with the universe and yield the expected results. Recall from Pillar One the concept of the negative mindset. Negative expectations attract negative outcomes. This concept was explained that resonating energy vibrations in nature respond with a pattern of like energy attracts like energy. In this capsule, however, we clarify the source of the attraction. The negative mindset is built from birth, but it is one of experiences and choice. The ariu can be changed. A common belief or joke in modern day society is that karma is fixed in a person. From that fate must be followed, not directed. For this reason, use of the word karma is not fully beneficial to explain an individual’s command to redirect their “nurture” or ariu from negative to positive. Your ariu or “nature” can be aligned between your subconscious mind and the universe, such that wealth is attracted naturally. This “resonation with Neteru” brings about inner serenity or mental peace from the turmoil before. This may seem like an imaginary idea until you recall that many things in life that are unseen are very real.

Consider the power of the air. You don’t see it unless the water is added, and it makes either vaporous clouds or some form of precipitation like rain or snow or sleet. Still, you accept its presence and unfurl your sail on the sailboat or roll down the runway and expect the airplane to lift. Consider the power of electricity. You don’t see it, unless it sparks from arcing when an appliance fails, or you accidently get something in an outlet. Still, you accept its presence and plug countless appliances into outlets for power. Later, you pay the electric bill and groan at the price. So it is that if you want to make changes in your visible life, you need to modify the invisible areas. All actions in the visible world are the result of invisible inclinations called predispositions. In the early days of antibiotics, they did not have such a negative connotation as they have today. Many illnesses from Rheumatic Fever to MRSA were quickly subdued using first penicillin and then a similar group called the cephalosporin class. These included Keflex, Ceclor, and Rocephin. Sadly, most people allergic to penicillin were also allergic to this set of antibiotics, often the only other option. Someone observed the vats used to mix the antibiotics at the pharmaceutical manufacturers were the same. This created the invisible allergy crossover. Using separate vats solved the visible allergy. The moral of the story is what is invisible can predispose a visible condition. If you harbor negative ariu, the total of your feelings, thoughts, and experiences from the past, these experiences will percolate to the surface and affect your day-to-day events. Where do they come from? They come from what you saw, heard and experienced earlier in life. Often these are triggered by emotional memories, which are seated in the subconscious mind. The subconscious will thus defer preferentially to the emotions over the logic of the conscious. Thus, negative ariu results are indeed uncontrollable unless you reprogram them at the source. Consider your health. You have your health because you eat appropriately, exercise moderately, and limit risk-enhancing activities such as smoking. Health is a visible result of inner changes at the source. So too are wealth and success. These are visible results from mindset changes at the source. Wealth is not always material. Wealth is a tool only to abundance and prosperity. Establishing your connection with the universe is just as important in your effort to build wealth. The Ancient Egyptians viewed gold and silver as metals that held special meaning rather than monetary value. Yes, in some cases silver was used in place of copper, which was the standard currency for bartering during exchanges. Gold was reserved for its spiritual value linking Earth, which was silver, with the universe, which was gold. Gold also represented the sun and silver the reflecting moon. Electrum or the alloy of gold fused with silver was used in special places such as the top of phallic monuments to link Earth with the universe. It was also used for the Pharaoh’s chariot to permit the wisdom-link with the universe. Individually, gold represents our spiritual wealth that is reflected on our events of life or silver. We must strive to have a silvery conscience that reflects golden or spiritual wealth to create our electrum. Electrum allows us to resonate with the universe.

The Ancient Egyptians didn’t wait for the stars’ alignment to practice their “resonation with Neteru.” They understood that results in life are successful reflections of the inner life we believe and practice. It is not one of emotion. It is one of understanding. There is an adage in the information system or computer industry appropriately coined, “garbage in, garbage out.” Specifically, what you program into the software of your computer will continually print out or display on the monitor of your life regardless the energy used to erase and rewrite the file. If the platform or software is corrupted, the output will be flawed. Reload your life with uncorrupted software that expects a higher performance, the better outcome, and higher end-point and the computer operating system will dutifully comply. Exercise Take about five minutes as an exercise to assess your ariu or “nature” from the many feelings, thoughts, and experiences from your past. Pull out your small, wire-bound notebook and list those feelings, thoughts, and experiences that are self-defeating. Reflect an outcome that you view to be other than gold or wealth when reflected in the silver or events of your life. You want to build electrum, the mix of gold and silver, so you can resonate with the universe and naturally draw success towards you. Negative ariu will be thoughts like “life happens to me,” or practicing blame, rationalization, and complaining in any form. Most importantly, the craving or desire for anything is negative ariu. That is subject to fear and contrary to the practice of Neteru of Kamit. Commit to positive ariu and begin to reflect gold wealth onto the silver of your life events. Document that you are aware of each negative ariu. Understand its origins. Commit to separate your emotional link from that negative ariu. Redirect your thinking with a new perspective on each topic. Write this in your notebook.
