President’s LetterDear Ministers,

As one goes about daily life, there is acertain “routineness” that governs ourbehavior. These habitual behaviors numbus from experiencing the joy of life ...ofbeing in the moment, and seeing andconnecting with the Divine presence thatis all around us.

When we see the Divine in others, and allsituations, it connects us with the Divinewithin ourselves. Operating at this levelof awareness allows Divine Love to flowthrough us, and when acted upon out ofcompassion and the connectedness of themoment, we become vehicles of Divineexpression and the world becomes abetter place.

Divine expression is somewhat like afaucet, you turn it on and the water flows. So too you have to choose to access theDivine for the energy to flow through you.You do this by being in the moment andbeing present.

This focus allows connection to theDivine. Once the Divine connection ismade, it allows Divine expression to workthrough us. It is like a muscle that needsto be cultivated and cherished. The moreyou connect, the easier it becomes andyour life will work better.

Life is a journey thatwe each should enjoyfor its own sake. I haveheard, but not absorbed, this adage for as long asI have been aware ofmy elders offering theirwisdom to me.

Now in my seventies I am beginning tounderstand the wisdom of that adage. Onewould think that a person who has been anOrdained Minister – especially SpiritualScience Minister, for over thirty-five yearswould have this life lesson down pat – butno. There are many reasons or excuses thatI could offer on the altar of dreams andgoals missed for why I never slowed downenough to enjoy the journey. Like the teenwho has a sports car, I sped through lifeaccepting the instructions of the AuthorityFigures before me without question.Raised by my Marine Sergeant Father, Iwas 52 years old before I ever questionedor challenged the decision of anyone in auniform or position of authority in school,in college or in business.

I have since wondered what I would havedone as a budding Spiritual Scientist had Ibeen raised in the 1930’s in Germany.Since healing is one of our main focuses, could or would I have been strong enoughto resist the prevailing propaganda andlevel of fear that the government, secretpolice, and youth instilled in the populace? It is not a pretty picture, but instructive.Having watched the televised Nuremburg(Nurnberg) Trials in later years I tried toguess which of the accused were using theexcuse that they were “under orders” or

“feared the military, secret police orgovernment” and therefore did notquestion orders from their superiors andwhich ones were so “cowed” that theytruly felt they had no control, even overtheir own actions. But also I have toacknowledge those that we now look uponas heroes of the ‘Resistance’ and thosewho helped rescue or hide the Jews whowere in danger. It is my hope that I would

Someone shouldexplain to us, right atthe start of our lives, that we are dying! That way we could livelife to the fullest, everyminute of every day.You see, we are aproduct of what we

have learned…the thoughts, fears, views, and age-old practices our families havedownloaded into our consciousness. However, consider that your thoughts, fears, etc., can be reprogrammed by youand you can unlearn them, particularly ifthey do not work for you. We can change!

Like you, my life has suffered griefs, betrayals, disappointments, abandonments, and pains that I never imagined as a child.I suffered many “dark nights of the soul”as some mystics have put it. These eventscertainly shrank my spirit and did notexpand it. Yet, they are part of everyone’slife. At times I felt abandoned by the Godthat made me and is within. But, here I amtoday –a Minister of a wonderful church. What have I learned from theseexperiences?

I sincerely tried to listen to what washappening—to what God wanted me todo—to create joy and goodness for others .In all humility I know that sometimes Godwas carrying me and using me as Hisinstrument of Divine Love. I had to putmy trust in God that he would empowerme even when I could not find the energywithin myself to defeat those dark thoughts, fears, etc., that were within me. Thegreatest thing I have found that helps is touse forgiveness. It is very powerful.

Sit down and list the persons, past orpresent, toward which you have ill feelings.Maybe you have included a parent, sibling, spouse, child or friend on that list. Ormaybe, it’s just full of strangers that haveannoyed you by their words or actions.Next, go over that list and see if you canfind it in your heart to grant each of themforgiveness. It will not be easy, I assure

The following is achanneled message bymy Indian guide Saka.

I hope that you enjoy it.

Movement Towards Changing

The purpose of the beings coming through,to the beings here on earth, is a necessarymovement towards changing the molecularenergy of the earth's atmosphere.

To think light thoughts and use light wordshelp to change the energy of the planet. Aswords and thoughts of love are used, it isvery helpful to energy change on earth.

The common denominator for change allwill be needed to make the final changes asa collective group energy.

We are moving toward that on a steadypath, ones with this awareness need tokeep these thoughts on a daily consciousawareness.

Thought energy and voice energy are verypowerful to the earth's energy. Those thatmust be changed for direct use of lightpassing into the universe on a horizontalpath.

you, but forgiveness is one of the greatestgestures of generosity you can make and itdoesn’t matter if the persons are living or ifthey have passed.

Most of us would like to be forgiven morethan we forgive others. Isn’t that so?None of us wants to be defined by thewrongs we have done. Yet, when we passover, what do you think will happen? God,the Great Spirit, is not going to judgeyou—when you die you judge yourself! As tree limbs fallen in a stream impede theflow of water, so failures to forgive in thislifetime will impede us from going onwardin the next life. We will end up repeatinganother lifetime. The laws of Karma andRetribution will see to that reincarnation. Therefore, realize the importance offorgiveness in this life.

Sometimes we fail to forgive people forwords or actions that are so distant we canbarely recall them, or that appear minorwith the passage of time. It’s ratherfoolish, isn’t it? Pray that you can recall allof these instances. Maybe it will takemore than one time to remember them all.The idea is to get rid of this karma that youhave been building up as much as possible.

Forgiveness is really letting go of thepast’s guilt, resentments, fears, angers, etc.; indeed, anything that is not Love.

Forgiveness will provide you with a way torelease that past of yours. As I said before, everyone’s past includes disasters and pain.Forgiveness will give you a way to let goof those parts of your history. In realitythe past is over, but it is not over in mostof our minds, is it? It lives on and on. Butyou have the power to change it! Forgiveyour past, forgive everyone who ever hurtyou, whether intentionally or not, and thenyou can create a new future. That is really

the message of A Course In Miracles! Youhave the power to wipe the slate clean. Why not use it?

However, that’s only half the job you mustdo. You see, you have to forgive yourselffor holding those thoughts against thosewho you think hurt you or irritated you, orwere downright offensive occasionally toyou! Then, you have completed yourforgiveness. That is the key—forgivethem and then yourself.

Once you have completed this, you willfind yourself becoming more accepting. This will lead to tolerance. Then, it willturn to inner peace.

It seems to me that this may turn to Loveof others and in turn to world peace. Itisn’t difficult to see, is it?

have been among the latter both as aSpiritual Scientist and as a healer.

I have also questionedthe actions of our owngovernment indemandingunquestioning obedienceof those working for itespecially in the militaryand security industries. My question was “How

can we as a nation take the stance that oursoldiers and secret services must actwithout questioning orders, while havingbeen so adamant about hunting down theaccused Nazi Officers and Sympathizerswho were ostensibly also under orders.

The response of our current Administrationand business leaders, with regard to thesupposed guilt of and severity ofpunishment of the ‘Whistle Blowers’ ofrecent years -- when one of their campaignpromises was to have the “…mosttransparent government …” reallyconcerns me as a Spiritual Scientist and asa recovering “member of theunquestioning masses”. Even now, Iwonder if I have written enough letters toour officials, signed enough petitions orspoken enough words that wouldencourage clarity, peace and fairness – truejustice with mercy -- to help heal our ownills and the world’s environments, both thephysical and the emotional (societal)environments.

It is true, to a degree, that we must healourselves before we can effectively healothers. If we deplete ourselves and then areunable to function effectively to maintainour own lives or actively function in theworld, we have done a disservice both toourselves and the world. It is akin to theinstruction we receive when flying on acommercial airliner… if the oxygen maskdrops down, put it on yourself first andthen help children and others put one on. Ifwe faint while helping someone else, bothwe and they are at greater risk than if weput on the mask and were then able to help

Forgiveness is a precious gift,Whose power is immense.

It heals and mends fractured bonds. And straightens those who are bent. The force of love has fickle traits,

Whose balance easily tilted.A word wrong said or gesture made,

Can lead to feeling jilted. The closest ones can turn away,

Such pain can they inflict. All our efforts to make amends,

Seems to make them sick. These burdens are all lifted,By forgiveness being sent.

The sender feels lighter too,No more anger being spent.

Its not easy to forgive,When we are hurt and sad.

We need time to brew and stew,To recover from something bad.

Past events are just that,They are past and gone.

It’s now time to extend a hand,And try to right what’s wrong.

others without fear of fainting. Thus if wewait until we believe we have arrived – are aMaster Soul – before we begin to function inthe world, the experience and capacity forrelating to others that would make ourservice most effective will be lacking. Eachtime I have had a major “Life Challenge” or

“Health Challenge” it has resulted in mybeing better preparedto serve as a healerin some capacity tothose I was about tomeet or met shortlyafter the event, thatwere going throughsimilar issues to the

ones from which I was healing. That whichinitially I felt was a disaster or failure in mylife made it possible for me to help ease theburdens of others and thus turned out to be aBlessing of inestimable value in the end. Ialso suspect it helped me compensate forchoices earlier in my life through which Iunwittingly caused others concern or pain, orfailed to act in response to a need that Ifailed to see at the time.

Through all of these questions andchallenges in my life since beginning mystudies in Spiritual Science, and whilehealing and growing in this faith, I can saythat the principles and wisdom that has beengifted me through Spiritual Science havemade each event or challenge easier to face.

“Why?” you might ask. My answer is becauseI can see with greater clarity the potential forgood outcomes because of the insights thatcame from those studies and the experiencesI have had in Pastoral Care and Healingwork. It also has made it possible for me tolook at the questions I posed earlier in thisarticle, seeing the same attitudes and patternsfrom the 1930’s with a more hopeful attitudeand greater trust that if we all as SpiritualScientists meditate and pray for the Worldand for greater understanding and peaceamong humankind, we may avoid thedisasters that these recurring patterns andattitudes indicate are imminent.

Pray to whoever you kneel down to:Jesus nailed to his wooden or marble or plastic cross,

his suffering face bent to kiss you,Buddha still under the Bo tree in scorching heat,

Adonai, Allah, raise your arms to Marythat she may lay her palm on our brows,

to Shekinhah, Queen of Heaven and Earth,to Inanna in her stripped descent.

Hawk or Wolf, or the Great Whale, Record Keeperof time before, time now, time ahead, pray. Bow down

to terriers and shepherds and siamese cats.Fields of artichokes and elegant strawberries.

Pray to the bus driver who takes you to work, pray on the bus, pray for everyone riding that busand for everyone riding buses all over the world.

If you haven't been on a bus in a long time, climb the few steps, drop some silver, and pray.

Waiting in line for the movies, for the ATM,for your latté and croissant, offer your plea.

Make your eating and drinking a supplication.Make your slicing of carrots a holy act,

each translucent layer of the onion, a deeper prayer.

Make the brushing of your haira prayer, every strand its own voice,

singing in the choir on your head.As you wash your face, the water slipping

through your fingers, a prayer: Water, softest thing on earth, gentleness

that wears away rock.

Making love, of course, is already a prayer.Skin and open mouths worshipping that skin,

the fragile case we are poured into, each caress a season of peace.

If you're hungry, pray. If you're tired.Pray to Gandhi and Dorothy Day.

Shakespeare. Sappho. Sojourner Truth.Pray to the angels and the ghost of your grandfather.

When you walk to your car, to the mailbox,to the video store, let each step

be a prayer that we all keep our legs, that we do not blow off anyone else's legs.

Or crush their skulls. And if you are riding on a bicycle

or a skateboard, in a wheel chair, each revolutionof the wheels a prayer that as the earth revolves

we will do less harm, less harm, less harm.(Cont’d on Page 5)

Spiritual Science Mother ChurchNewark Museum Outing

By Rev. Steven Jarose

On June 11th, 2016 members of the Spiritual Science Board, fellow ministers and their guests visited the Newark Museum. Plannedas an opportunity to get to know one another and renew friendships, the venue was chosen because of its outstanding collection ofTibetan, Japanese and Korean Buddhist art. A highlight was the in-situ Buddhist altar consecrated by the Dalai Lama. I smiled asseveral members of our group were able to add significantly tothe knowledge base of the docent who accompanied us.The exhibition also showcases approximately 100 works fromthe museum's collection of Buddhist artifacts, sculpture andart.

We were given ample time to wander through the rest of themuseum, whose collections explore the history of identity, current challenges relating to race and immigration and theimportance of family and community. I found theimpressive number of works by African American artists to beexciting and long overdue, something sadly missing fromother museums.

Afterwards, despite the heat, we strolled the soothing Alice Ransom Dreyfuss Garden behind the museum. We ended our day at thenearby Chateau of Spain Restaurant on Franklin Street for a delicious dinner featuring Portuguese cuisine. We celebrated withunanimous agreement to plan a similar outing next summer.

And as you work, typing with a new manicure,a tiny palm tree painted on one pearlescent nail

or delivering soda or drawing good bloodinto rubber-capped vials, writing on a blackboardwith yellow chalk, twirling pizzas, pray for peace.

With each breath in, take in the faith of thosewho have believed when belief seemed foolish, who persevered. With each breath out, cherish.

Pull weeds for peace, turn over in your sleep for peace, feed the birds for peace, each shiny seed

that spills onto the earth, another second of peace.Wash your dishes, call your mother, drink wine.

Shovel leaves or snow or trash from your sidewalk.Make a path. Fold a photo of a dead childaround your VISA card. Gnaw your crust

of prayer, scoop your prayer water from the gutter.Mumble along like a crazy person, stumbling

your prayer through the streets.

Astrological Insights By Rev. Alethea Worden

Food For ThoughtBy Rev. Alethea Worden

The slower moving more distant planetsplay a part in every definition of culturaland developing historic life. They stay inone sign for a longer period of time andinfluence all areas of development. Uranus, for instance, spends about 7 years in eachsign. It has recently arrived at the sign ofAries after finishing a 84-year completecycle.

Food, as an example, goes throughtransitions such as these. Lets look at some of what occurred with food andnurturance throughout the last cycle:

In Aries (1927-1934), we needed all theassertive and original ideas that the eracould provide. In late 1929, the GreatDepression enters our culture amidjoblessness, stock market crashing, homelessness, pooling resources, andwaiting for breadlines. Soups and One-Potmeals were prevalent as well as items likefried dough or other simple foods fried inoil that kept people’s stomachs filled.Prohibition of the sale of alcohol broughtus homemade “bathtub gin”.

In Taurus (1934-1941) we came to thebeginnings of economic recovery in one ofour financial signs for the rest of thethirties while approaching World War II.That time period, still characterized byhearty one-course meals, lasting us as longas possible and served in variations indifferent growing and animal breedingparts of the country.

As Uranus comes to Gemini (1941-1948),World War II is upon us. A much larger, unisex population makes up the dailywork force in order to replace the absentarmed forces while also making “victorygardens” part of daily life to allow formore methods of producing food locally to

supplement sources of national foodrationing.

In Cancer (1948-1955), we’re in the Post-WWII era and the birthrate is rising and the

“baby boom” is born. We start to see theincrease of prepared formula and thedecrease of breastfeeding for infants alongwith widespread studies about feeding &baby care in general. As rationing beginsto disappear, larger sizes of food arrive insupermarkets that grow larger themselves--frozen food and fad food businesses tooare booming.

During Leo (1955-1961), interest becomesmore creative and self-confident producingmore complicated food pallets, startingwith the biggest attention being given toFrench cuisine. On the other end of thespectrum, while families are starting to eatout more as a group, we see the expansionwhat’s becoming the Fast Food Businesswith affordable fare.

In Virgo (1961-1968), space explorationgave rise to new innovations in all areassuch as new materials, new places tovisualize, our world more in both worldsand new kinds of food inventions that cantake us eating our way to the moon orelsewhere. In seeking the earth resourcesmeanwhile, vegetarianism and healthconscious food also grew more popularnow..

In Libra (1968-1974), there is a desire for amore romantic environment. Foods of anethnic nature seems to gain in our attentionsuch as Japanese, Chinese food from lessfamiliar parts of their country, Thai,Indonesian and Eastern European foodsreally entered into our greater awarenessand we start to become more adept atpreparing it ourselves as well as eating out.Child rearing practices are returning inforce and more interest has once againreturned to breastfeeding of infants insignificant numbers. With the rise ofdivorce, more households are being createdagain and the demand for fast foodscontinues to spread.

In Scorpio (1974-1981), with thecontinued rise of divorce, the number ofhouseholds growing unabated and thedemand for all kinds of food is beingstimulated - ethnic, prepared fast foods - -and at every income level increases. Anew mainstay - Starbucks - is foundedbringing its followers many deliciouspossibilities to their lives - sizes of hotdrinks, types of coffees and teas with everykind of combination of additives under thesun, waiting-in-line conversations oftenleading to next steps or a good/safemeeting place to initiate a meet-and-greetand any other social interactivity known tourban life!

In Sagittarius (1981-1988), developmentsin both science and philosophy, oftenmingled with strong intuitiveness, wouldbe more pronounced during this period. An international frame of reference is alsoprobable. Agribusiness increases, with animprimatur of proven scientific scrutiny, much of which is later called into questionwith concerns for both the the longer termeffect to the consumer and the ongoingconsequence to the land. Philosophicalinterests lead others to explore and developnutritional regimens based on Asian andother belief systems.(Cont’d on page 7)

Astrological Insights By Rev. Alethea Worden

In Capricorn (1988-1995), we see the increase of consumer and professional education inthe field of Food in general--Newsletters and Magazines, Culinary Schools such as ICE andFood TV Programs and Networks. To supply this onslaught, Television Contest Shows forChefs are produced; many for the networks themselves. The Chef becomes big business as astar in their field both in the areas mentioned, but also creating multiple restaurants throughout the country and participating in Food Fairs held in enticing resortareas. Interest in cooking lessons is popular again with adults as a creative outlet rather thana basic necessity.

In Aquarius (1995-2003), in its domicile sign, unusual pairings in food in our expandingtaste palate are explored. So many new products from the Southwestern/Mexican regimen;various herbs and unusual fruits and vegetables continue to come from Asia; SouthAmerican food begins to find more space here and Australia/New Zealand native foods andherbs are sprouting up. All of this while diet foods become an even bigger business.

In Pisces (2003-2010), the Slow Food Movement gains momentum allowing small farms to become more active again in manycommunities and to reinvigorate the local soil so that its ability to nourish increases. More attention is also being paid to nutrition inschool cafeteria programs to educate and improve the general health concerns of the students, to open up their awareness more and, inmany cases to start school gardens to be tended by the children themselves.

ASCENDED MASTERS, COSMIC AND DIVINE BEINGSBy A. D. K. Luk

It is essential that students realize that there is aconscious Being back of any intelligent activity;whether it is a metaphysical aspect of spirit orany virtue or action of the seven rays. The spiritor divine qualities are sustained and directed byintelligent Beings, of the Legions of Light.

The Legions of Light in a broad sense includeall Beings of light—the Ascended Masters,

Cosmic Beings, Devas, Divine Beings, Seraphim, Cherubim,Angelic Host and Beings of the Elements. In a specific sense aLegion can be all Those serving with or under the direction ofsome Great Being. That would be His Legion or Legions.

Great Beings are behind prayer, invocation and decrees. They arethe Ascended Masters, Cosmic Beings. Angelic Host, Beings ofthe Elements and all Divine Beings. They are the invisible powerwhich produces manifestations out here.

The tremendous accomplishments that have resulted from thisunderstanding and cooperative service of students with the DivineBeings is proof that there must be response and direction fromthis realm through which the Law acts, or in order for it to act.

The Great White Brotherhood is composed of these Beings.Certain Ones of These form the Spiritual Hierarchy for the humankingdom of which the Lord of the World is an authority. EachOne of the Hierarchy has a specific service to the Earth and itsevolution…

SAINT GERMAINSaint Germain's Cosmic Name is "Freedom". He is the CosmicFather of the people of America.

Saint Germain's work for the freedom of mankind began in thatcivilization seventy thousand years ago; when a whole civilizationcould have been raised into the Ascension had they continued togive obedience in-stead of becoming rebellious (particularly intheir feelings) .

He with beloved Lady Master Nada have brought manycivilizations to their height.

His work has been much more concerned with the human andphysical realm than that of the Other Masters. He worked for twohundred years here in America before definite results began tomanifest. This was brought about through the activity of the "I

AM" Instruction; which important work has been the protection, purification and enlightenment of the people especially inAmerica; and the purification of the Beings of the elements. SaintGermain took the responsibility for the students whether theygave obedience or not. When an Ascended Master does that andthe necessary obedience is not given then He has to make up forthat and give a balance to the great Law through application andCosmic service, at inner levels.

Saint Germain was King of that great civilization seventythousand years ago, where we find the Sahara Desert today. Hepossessed all the powers of a "Master" and could have made theAscension as far as qualification goes. Some have wanted to knowwhy He did not make the Ascension then when He had attained tosuch great heights. There is a very definite reason. He did not, sothat he could embody again and again in order to hold a closercontact with the mankind of Earth. In this way He couldaccomplish things required for man-kind's freedom in the future, since having a physical body gave Him a connection andauthority which He would not have in the Ascended State. Heretained continuity of consciousness from one embodiment to thenext since that civilization seventy thousand years ago.

The term "Uncle Sam" really refers to Saint Germain Whoinstigated the establishment of our government. It was said thatterm comes from a former embodiment when He was ProphetSamuel, about eleventh century B. C.

Saint Germain was Joseph and with Mary prepared the way forJesus. He was an Essene and knowing the mission of Jesus didsome preparatory work among the disciples unbeknown to them, before they met Jesus. Saint Germain as Joseph was a very goodexample of the "Father" Jesus was to externalize through physicalform and He was the ideal to Jesus in His childhood until Hemade the contact with Lord Maitreya. At the time of His passing(which was an easy one) He determined to give assistance to all tomake their "passing easy"; for the animals as well as humanbeings.

Saint Germain was Saint Alban born in the third century inEngland presumably at the place of the present St. Alban. He wasmartyred about 303 during the persecution and later cannonizedby the Church.

He was the Greek philosopher Proclus (411-485) . This name became famous in after life. He composed hymns, embraced allreligions and endeavored to unite all philosophies. He had aschool in Athens, but he also traveled, studied and taught thevarious religions.

He was Merlin themagician of KingArthur's Court (inEngland, fifth and sixthcenturies).

Another embodiment ofhis was as Roger Bacon(1211 or 14-1294) bornat Ilchester, an English

monk and philosopher, claimed by some tohave been the greatest intellect which hasarisen in England. He was a student ofnature who was more physician thanchemist, a scientist, and made manydiscoveries along this line in this lifetimeas well as in many other embodiments, ashe saw the need for the use of these thingsto benefit mankind. He studied at Oxfordand then at Paris; there he received thedegree of doctor of theology, then returnedto Oxford. He became known as a father ofscience. He was known as the firstnaturalist by the Franciscan Order to whichhe belonged. He invented the spectacles, achromatic lenses and constructed thetelescope; he did much experimental workand produced gunpowder which has beenso greatly misused. He was one of the fewastronomers of the time; he wasresponsible for the rectification of theJulian calendar. He was known as amagician and intensely interested inalchemy (transmutation) and in producingan elixir to prolong life. He wrote OpusMajus which was an encyclopedia of allsciences and for which he was persecuted.

Then as Christian Rosenkreutz of Germanyin the fourteenth century he was sent to amonastery when only five years of age. Hebecame a monk with real occult andspiritual knowledge. He journeyed throughvarious countries and when only sixteen hecame in contact with the wise men ofDamcar in Arabia who received him as onethey had long expected. He learned Arabicwhile there and translated a secret bookinto Latin, later he brought it to Europe. Hewent to Egypt after that and was welcomedby the Egyptian Brotherhood of the Great

White Brotherhood (probably at Luxor) towhich he had belonged in past lives. Hewent through the initiations there. ThenRosenkreutz returned to Germany andfounded the Order of the "Rosy Cross", ofwhich Rosicrucian is an off-spring. TheOrder consisted of only around thirty orforty members but it did form a school orfocus for the secret mysteries and occultknowledge of the Great WhiteBrotherhood in Europe which gave a directconnection with the Retreat.

It was said that Saint Germain was JohnHunyadi who was a great Adept born inTransylvania, Hungary, in the early part ofthe fifteenth century (about 1387-1456) .

Saint Germain as Christopher Columbus(1446?-1506) exhibited tremendousperseverance in that lifetime. History tellsus he discovered America in 1492, but it isclaimed that was not his first trip to thisland. Columbus was a learned, culturedand talented person, a nobleman and not abeggar. He obtained much navigationinformation from the courts of Europe, particularly Spain and England. Some ofColumbus' cryptic writings are still inexistence which definitely bear out thesefacts. It was said from this time on SaintGermain was in embodiment continuously.

Paracelsus (1493-1541 Encyclopediadates) • a Swiss chemist, physician andtheosophist, was born near Zurich.

He assumed the name of AureolusTheophrastus Paracelsus. He learned fromhis father the rudiments of medicine, astrology and alchemy. He traveled overmost parts of Europe, performed some

• Here there may seem to be a discrepancybecause dates stated according to history overlap. healings and claimed to have discovered anelixir that would prolong life. He had animmense reputation in physics and surgery. His doctrine• was that chemistry was toprepare medicines and not to make gold. Itis claimed he was interested in that secretbook translated by Christian Rosenkreutz.

There is mentionmade of SaintGermain having ashortembodimentbefore that ofFrancis Bacon. He was to havecome to Americaas a boy, with DeSoto and lived on

the Wissahickon River in Pennsylvania.

Saint Germain's last embodiment was thatof Francis Bacon (1561-1684) aphilosopher and English writer. He was theson of Queen Elizabeth and rightful heir tothe throne, this he was denied by theactions of his own mother. He wrotevarious books and articles under severaldifferent names, including plays byShakespeare. A cipher code runs throughthese writings relating his real identity andthe intrigue in court which prevented himfrom getting the right to the throne bywhich he had hoped to form a UnitedStates in Europe. Could this have beendone there would have been no war theresince. James I became king, instead. Hemisused government funds, but FrancisBacon, holding the accounts of England, took the blame for the wrong committed,to save the king and country.

Bacon used his plays and writings toinfluence the constituting of the Englishlanguage of today. He supervised andedited the authorized version of the Bible(then being translated) which was directedby King James. Bacon's great work theNovum Organum (written in Latin) led theway to the development of moderninductive logic. This was the secondinstrument of thought, the first was

Aristotle's Organon and the third isOuspen-ski's Tertium Organum.

It is believed by some that he passed on in1626. He let it appear that way andattended his own funeral in a woman's garb, but he did not leave the earth plane tillMay 1, 1684. He went from England to theRakoczy mansion in Transylsvania andascended on the Freedom Flame there intoHis eternal victory. The Goddess ofLiberty was the first One to meet Him onthe other side. He then went into the GreatSilence for some time.

He was known as Prince Rakoczy ofTransylvania and took many embodimentsin that part of the world thereby drawingand establishing the Freedom Flame there. When he had passed the initiation wherebyhe was made the focus of the FreedomFlame to Earth he first embodied as ashepherd boy in Transylvania. He, then, for centuries, in each succeeding lifetimeintensified and expanded that Flame. The Master "R", known to us now as theDivine Director was his teacher andmentor and over-shadowed or enfoldedhim in His (Divine Director's) CosmicFlame; as it was done in the case ofMaitreya with the Master Jesus.

The Master Saint Germain appeared againin Europe and was known there during thetime from 1710 to 1822, particularly. Heappeared in His visible, tangible body inthe various countries under various names. He kept close connections with influentialpeople in these countries. He was knownas Comte de Saint Germain in France, asthe Wonderman in Germany, as ComteBellamarre in Venice, as Prince Rakoczyat Dresden and by other names at differentplaces. He was considered very wealthyand no one could determine from whenceHis wealth came.

It is not generally known that He was anAscended Being at that time, whichexplains how He could so easily performthose super-human feats; and why He didnot partake of food. Being Ascended Hewas therefore complete master over

physical matter. He could appear in morethan one place at the same time, he did nothave to rely on outer world transportationand could precipitate whatever jewels, ornamentation and such like that Hewished. His reason for exhibiting suchwealth was for influential purposes, as thatdid impress them as nothing else would. He called Himself Saint Germain (SanctusGermanus which means holy brother) . Hewould know what letters or newspaperscontained without reading them. He couldspeak any language perfectly. He refusedto accept any presents or benefits. Heinfluenced the lives of many famouspersons and people in governmentalpositions. He played a great part in thepolitical world in America as well as inEurope during the eighteenth century. Theoriginal system of secret diplomacy wasinstigated by Him.

Saint Germain waspersonally known by theFrench kings, Louis XVand Louis XVI, and QueenMarie Antoinette. Hadthey heeded His advice itwould have saved theirand many others their lives

during the French Revolution. SaintGermain told us in the latter nineteen-thirties that Marie Antoinette was at thattime good at heart but did not withstandthe influence at court; that she was inembodiment again in France and that Hewould see that she was brought in contactwith this instruction.

Saint Germain was known by and workedwith others in the French court, includingCount Rochambeau. It is evident that theFrench expedition to America during theRevolutionary War in America and theappointment of General Rochambeau as itscommander all came about through SaintGermain's influence.

He gave the elixir of life to several peoplewhich restored youth and beauty to them.He would write two different topics onewith each hand, at the same time. Heinstructed and assisted Mesmer in his work, was known by Cagliostro, He exhibited

alchemy to Casanova and assisted Charlesof Hesse in the study of the secret science.Saint Germain influenced the founding ofmany secret societies in various places, such as the Rosicrucians, Knights Templar,Knights of Light, the Illuminati andMasonry. These activities all come underthe ceremonial ray.

Napoleon knew SaintGermain intimately, Whotaught and trained him andwas the power behind him aslong as he gave obedience.Saint Germain had towithdraw when Napoleon

claimed the power as his own; and at thatpoint is where his failure began. SaintGermain expected to make a United Statesof Europe through him, hut again Hisefforts failed because of human weakness.Saint Germain was a friend of Frederickthe Great and had a hand in placingCatharine the Great upon the throne ofRussia. He was known by von Steuben andinfluenced him to come to America.General Washington, Lafayette andFranklin all knew Him, as did Lincoln later. They knew Him but they did not know Hewas an Ascended Being. He was the One(the unknown visitor) Who fired thepatriots, Who swayed the Signers of theDeclaration of Independence into signingthe document; Whom they could not findafterwards, although the doors were lockedand a man on guard. He was the inspirationand power behind the bringing forth of theConstitution of the United States as well asthe Magna Carta of England. It wasthrough His endeavors that GeorgeWashington was established as the firstPresident of the United States of America.

His reputation in Europe was so great thateven today there are people there who willbow at the mention of His name.

He was a power behind the building oftrains, railroads, steamboats, airplanes andsuspension bridges, most of which he hadpredicted as Roger Bacon. He was also a friend of the writer BulwerLytton and evidently influential in his

writings. The inspiration to produce thepassion play every ten years by the peopleof Oberammergau came from Him.

Saint Germain was responsible for theculture in the Court of France and that ofthe Colonial Days. He was also responsiblefor the lovely Austrian music and much ofthe Venetian music. He inspired musicianssuch as Chopin, Tchaikowsky andespecially Johann Strauss to write thoseWaltzes which are the music of His Retreat.

When He ceased working in Europe in thetangible form He said He would again beseen in eighty-five years which was aroundthe time the Theosophical movementbegan.

Saint Germain was raised up and given theAscension by Sanat Kumara.

Saint Germain became Chohan of theSeventh Ray (which office Kwan Yin washolding) , around one hundred years afterHis Ascension. This was after His work atthe Court of France and other parts ofEurope, and after America's freedom, during which time He worked so much andclosely in the physical realm. When Heassumed the office of Chohan His servicebecame Cosmic and He was no longerpermitted to work in such close personalcontact as before except with Napoleon.

Saint Germain endeavored at the court ofFrance and in other parts of Europe toprove to the outer consciousness of thepeople through phenomena the innerpowers and the power within themselves. He decided then that no longer would Heattempt in that way to reach the hearts ofmankind but He would employ anothermethod. That He would use the means ofinstruction based on logic and commonsense with radiation for the conviction ofthe instruction given; especially to peoplemore interested in "works" than inphenomena.

Saint Germain was not so active inTheosophy, but instead He was building a

momentum at inner levels and makingpreparation for the time when He wouldfocus His ray in action in the outer again. This He did in the early nineteen-thirtiesthrough the I AM activity. His work withmankind has been very great and throughall of that He has developed much patiencewith the people of Earth. We know little ofwhat He went through to gain His eternalFreedom. It was far greater than what anyof mankind have to encounter today. Therefore, He had the wisdom, strengthand courage to bring forth the I AMInstruction and accomplished (in a fewyears) what none other was able to do.

Saint Germain was a priestin the Temple ofPurification, the Temple ofViolet Flame on Atlantis. He then received training atinner levels (both while inembodiment and in betweenembodiments) , in divine

alchemy in Archangel Zadkiel's' Templesover Cuba through the centuries after thesinking of Atlantis; until He qualified tobecome guardian of the Violet Flame andthe Chohan of the Seventh Ray.

Saint Germain has worked for twelvethousand years hoping to bring forth anation of Ascended Masters. He was ableto precipitate hundreds of years before HisAscension. He said that He operated thelaw a long time before that "Great I AMPresence" was revealed to Him.

We were informed on December 21, 1937,that Saint Germain and Others of theAscended Masters had walked the streetsof some of our cities in Their tangibleBodies to give the needed protectionthrough radiation. He said June 4, 1939,that He would move about in New York,Washington, D. C., Philadelphia andCleveland once a week for the followingsix months.

Saint Germain had to wait a long time forthe Goddess of Justice (His Twin Ray)because She had ascended long before andhad entered the Great Silence. She came

forth in nineteen thirty-nine to assist Himin His work.

To secure dispensations beloved SaintGermain took the responsibility for thestudents, particularly, and for mankind.

Saint Germain was crowned May 1, 1954,and officially assumed the responsibilitiesas the Director for the new cycle of twothousand years on the Seventh Ray, andthus the initial pulsation flowed forth. Thiscoronation gave Him the authority toincrease an understanding of the presenceand power of the Violet Ray and Flame aswell as that of Freedom. Jesus held thisposition for the past two thousand years onthe Sixth Ray; Saint Germain will nowcomplete the work Jesus started.

Saint Germain also works as an AngelDeva, an Angel Deva of the Violet Flame, and has Legions of Angels under Hisdirection. He is the Director of theTransmuting Violet Flame to the Earth.

His Retreat is the Rakoczy Mansion inTransylvania. He has a Focus in the EthericCity over the Sahara Desert, from whichHe works, directing light rays in Hisservice to Earth. The Cave of Symbols isHis Retreat in America.

An outstanding quality of His isenthusiasm for the Light.

He is about six feet one inch in height, hasbrown eyes and wavy brown

hair. A fragrance He usesis that of violets. Theelectronic pattern of Hislifestream is the Maltese

Cross.

All great foundations start with onestone—that jeweled stone for the new ageis the Ascended Master Saint Germain.
