Taking inventory in non-WM managed SAP envi-ronments is typically paper based and is a laborious manual data entry process. Count sheets are manually completed and often illegible. This delays the completion of data entry which is frequently fraught with errors.

Configurable Management recognized this as an issue across industries and worked closely with a few of our clients to design a product, PIM, that dramatically improves the overall physical inven-tory count, inventory document creation and the count entry process.

PIM reduces the time required for each process while simultaneously improving the accuracy of the data entered. PIM supports Plant Stock, Vendor Stock, Customer Stock for non-batch managed, batch managed, serialized and project stock.

Physical inventory has never been easier with our new PIM™ software solution. The paper-based count method required for storage locations, vendor stock or cus-tomer consigned stock is labor intensive and error prone. No more handwritten material numbers and product descrip-tions, which may or may not match SAP. With PIM simply query SAP for product details by plant into an intuitive Excel® spread sheet and you’re ready to go.

EXTRACT

Next, generate the count worksheets. PIM creates worksheets that have the pertinent count information for the counter (i.e. Ma-terial Number, Description, Storage Bin). Zero quantity items may be filtered from the on-hand inventory extraction. Inventory supervisors can limit the number of materi-als assigned to each counter. Create as many worksheets as needed for multiple locations.

GENERATE

Because PIM replaces paper-based counts with a familiar Excel user interface, manual data entry is unnecessary. Just upload the counts that are entered into the count worksheets directly into SAP, eliminating the laborious and error-prone clerical process.
