How I Use Pinterest
• Get Ideas• Get Organized
• Get Inspired• Get Creative
Pinterest is great, but at the end of the day, we still have to take those ideas and turn them into feasible programs within a limited budget. We want to create fun and engaging programs so
the kids and teens come back for more!
Tips for Putting TogetherCraft Programs
• Teach teens a new skill• Make something they will use, want to display
at home or in their locker at school, or a gift they can give to a family member or friend
• Crafts that use recycled materials, little to no cost
• Have templates prepared for teens who are not so crafty. Make sure the program caters to all skill levels.
Program Structureand Examples
• I plan most of my programs to last 1-1.5 hours.• I normally start with some sort of ice breaker
or an easy/shorter craft that is related to the bigger, more complicated craft we’re doing.
• Examples:– Glass magnet to go with the magnet memo board– Duct tape school supplies, back-to-school program– Fandom on Fire painted Totes, Fandom Quiz as an
ice breaker
