PTAA Vision

Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy’s (PTAA) vision is

to create academically superior graduates who are ready to

meet the challenge of global competition. In this constant

flattening world, our Texas students need proper tools,

ideas and knowledge to stay above national and interna-

tional graduating standards. PTAA’s mission is to create a

model that provides the tools, ideas and knowledge

through a creative blend of student-initiated and teacher-

facilitated approaches in which students’ creativity, physi-

cal/mental health and self-confidence are fostered at every

step. A recent study carried out by the Economist Intelli-

gence Unit (EIU) ranked the US 17th in an assessment of

the education systems of 50 countries. These number are

more troubling in Math and Science where we slip to 29th

and 22nd rank respectively. PTAA believes that, as our

students need to be competing and excelling at global lev-

el, it is important that they are prepared, challenged and

mentored at the same level as well.

PTAA Vision

With that vision in mind, the PTAA students are offered

exceptional educational teacher-initiated creative pro-

grams where math, science, technology, liberal arts and

engineering are taught through hands-on student-

initiated projects. PTAA’s community-centered school

will put extra emphasis on Information Technology,

Robotics and Computer Science programs through

school projects, intra-school seminars, national science

programs and several international programs. All IT

and Robotic programs will have fusion of art and ani-

mation projects. This perfect blend of technology and

liberal arts programs is emphasized every step of the

way to foster creativity. PTAA parent participation pro-

grams will create awareness in the community that in

turn will encourage a wider range of community excite-

ment. PTAA will also arrange community seminars

every quarter to highlight the exponential job growth in the

respective fields. In addition, languages such as Mandarin

and Spanish will be taught at each aptitude level to give a

competitive edge to the students. The Latin Language will

also be an elective subject. A foundation in Latin allows for

an easier understanding of other languages.

Dual Credit College Courses

At PTAA with an individually-customized “love what you

learn” structured curriculum, students are challenged to meet

higher standards at each age group. Students are allowed to

pick their core and elective classes through aptitude rather

than age. High School students will also be able to take ad-

vantage of several advance placements college programs

that will give them dual credit courses. Currently PTAA is

working with UT Arlington TX, Concordia University MN

and Mayville State University ND to provide dual credit

courses to PTAA students and allow students to graduate

with an Associate Degree as wells as a High School Diplo-

ma. PTAA’s vision is to have involvement with several oth-

er colleges around the nation to provide a variety of choices

to high school students.

Exceptional Curriculum

With that vision in mind, the PTAA students will be of-

fered exceptional educational teacher-facilitated creative

programs where math, science, technology, liberal arts and

engineering are taught through hands-on student-initiated

projects. PTAA’s community-centered school will put ex-

tra emphasis on Information Technology, Robotics and

Computer Science programs through school projects, intra-

school seminars, national science programs and several

international programs. All IT and Robotic programs will

have fusion of art and animation projects. This perfect

blend of technology and liberal arts programs is empha-

sized every step of the way to foster creativity. PTAA par-

ent participation programs will create awareness that in

turn will encourage a wider range of community excite-

ment. PTAA will also arrange community seminars

Nutritional Programs

PTAA believes the mental and physical health of a student is

extremely important to create an ideal classroom atmos-

phere. PTAA board members have been working on teaching

Foreign Leadership Programs

PTAA high school students will also have an option to pick

six months courses from China, India and Brazil (BRICS

)nation countries. The primary focus of this program is to

expose, challenge and mentor our students with their foreign

peers in the fastest growing economies. In addition to learn-

ing culture, business, and language from different countries,

the programs will manifest strong portfolios for high school

graduates when they apply to various colleges or enroll into

an internship program.

the nutritional message in classrooms since 1990. PTAA

strongly believes healthier kids are more focused and more

attentive in the classroom, perform better on test & assess-

ments, are absent less and exhibit more self-confidence. All

classrooms incorporate healthy living throughout their

coursework. This program is especially important for stu-

dents of busy families where healthy living sometimes is

overlooked because of budget, parents’ long work day and

lack of nutritional awareness. In addition to classroom

awareness programs, PTAA will strive to keep its school

sugar-free and will take steps necessary (Attached guide-

lines) to limit processed food and beverages at PTAA cam-

puses, while complying with state and federal nutrition re-

quirements.

Keeping TEXAS A Leader

PTAA’s vision is to create and replicate this model in sever-

al Texas schools that desire their students to participate in

our programs. PTAA will also make all our programs and

placements available to all Public school students in Texas.

Together we can make Texas scholars better prepared to

face future challenges.
