WELCOME!

The name KEMPER has been synonymous with pioneering technologies for more than 30 years. In 1977 Gerd Kemper developed and produced his first welding fume extractor in the garage of his Westphalian home town of Vreden. It was the beginning of a success story. In addition to extraction and filter systems as well as extraction tables, automated storage and retrieval systems and a tracking system for photovoltaic systems are also part of the product range today. KEMPER has always been faithful to its commitment to keep reinventing himself and to set new standards with innovations.

THE SPECIAL IST FOR SYSTEMATICAIR PURIF ICATION IN THE WORKINGENVIRONMENT.

Using our extraction and filtering equipment, we make sure that operators can still breathe in clean air. With an extensive range of health and safety equipment, we can provide protection against UV / IR radiation, heat, sparks and weld splatter, benefiting not only the operator but also the machinery and the environment.

These days, KEMPER stands for more than just clean air and safety in metalworking. Since 2008, we have been supplying the KEMPER INTELLISTORE® storage and retrieval system, an innovative, modular facility for the intelligent storage of sheet metal.

Unlike conventional solutions, the system does not work with drawers, but provides access to the metal sheets individually, both when storing and retrieving from stock. The advantages are a more efficient use of storage capacity thanks to higher stock storage levels, more flexible use of compartments and faster handling.

Since the beginning of 2009, we have been making use of our years of experience in plant construction and our core competency in metalworking to develop tracking systems for photovoltaic modules. KemTRACK determines the exact position of the sun from the location, date and time and thus ensures that the solar cells always have the optimum orientation.

Compared to fixed installations, increases in power output of up to 40 percent can be achieved. To ensure our products’ high technical standards,we invest continually in research and development.

We also work with universities, research institutesand technical monitoring agencies. And with some success: we developed the KEMPER INTELLISTORE® storage and retrieval system in cooperation with the Fraun-hofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML), receiving the VDI Innovation Award in Spring 2009. In addition to its headquarters in Vreden, KEMPER now maintains other production facilities in Lünen (Germany), Shanghai (China) and Prague (Czech Republic).

In addition, we have ten subsidiaries and a large number of business partners throughout the world. The heart of our business is and remains our head-quarters in Vreden. We will continue to develop and produce our products here in the future.

Clean air and safety at work: these have been the goal at KEMPER since the company wasfounded in 1977. Hazardous smoke and pollutants are generated during welding and cuttingin the metal industry.

Extraction technology

The extraction of hazardous fumes and pollutants at the welding workplace is often neglected. As a con-sequence it is especially easy for workers to breathe in harmful dust particles. KEMPER’s various extrac-tor models offer the right solution for every welding situation.

Our products range from small, mobile devicesto large, permanently installed extraction and filtersystems. Furthermore you have the option of choosing between mechanical, electrostatic and self-cleaning filters as well as models with one or two exhaust arms.

Small, mobile devices like the KEMPER Dusty stand out on account of their minimal weight and versatility, but they are still very powerful. Two strong turbines provide an excellent extraction efficiency and high static pressure.

The KEMPER 8000 and 9000 systems wereespecially developed for use in laser and plasmacutting as well as for the installation of centralextraction systems. Their outstanding design and technology as well as excellent extraction and filter efficiency make them the benchmark for all extraction and filter systems on the market today.

GREAT PERFORMANCE ON THE NANO SCALE.

The welding process generates hazardous fumes and pollutants. KEMPER extraction and filter systems ensure that these are captured and extracted right at the place of origin. Even extreme-ly small particles penetrating pulmonary alveoli (alveolar dust particles) can be extracted almost completely.

Effect of the exhaust hood The shape of the KEMPER exhaust hood is designed to generate an oblong vacuum field that matches the shape of a welded seam. The exhaust hood is attached to the exhaust arm so that it can be turned by 360°.

KEMPER Filter-Table The Filter-Table with its integrated filter systemis an effective solution for extracting harmful particles generated during the welding and cutting process.

KEMPER Dusty Ultra-light, flexible and powerful. Two strongturbines provide an excellent extractionefficiency and high static pressing, makingit universally suitable for many differentapplications.

Still going strongwhere other filters fail.

When deciding on an extraction and filter system, the most important criterion is the filters’ efficiency. This is why KEMPER uses ePTFE membrane filters which can still filter out ultra-fine particles of up to0,1 μm and less. This is the only way to capture even the smallest particles and effectively protect workers from harmful particles entering their lungs.

Furthermore, System 8000 devices are IFA (BGIA) tested. They comply with statutory regulations and are therefore suitable for recycling the air back into the workplace, even when processing high-alloy steels.

Extraction tables

Cutting metals is a highly problematic and energy-intensive process. One of the main reasons for thisis the dust and slag generated in the process. To allow for a more even and efficient capturing, KEMPER uses the technique of surface extraction. The special design of the extraction tables allows the dust generated during cutting to be evenly vacuumed from the surface of the table. This leads to an efficient and safe extraction of the generated dust particles without sparks getting into the filters.

To make cutting more flexible, the KEMPERextraction tables consist of individual modules, allowing for almost any size. The individualmodules in turn are subdivided into segments.A segment controller allows you to only open thesection above which the metal is being cut. Thisresults in optimal extraction while saving energy. In addition, various cutting supports allow for acustomized and therefore improved cutting quality.

SUPERFICIAL , THAT WAS YESTERDAY.

Cutting metals generates dust and slag. Compared to ordinary extraction tables,KEMPER extraction tables allow for a more even and efficient extraction.

| 8

Flame cutting tables

In comparison to conventional extraction tables,KEMPER extraction tables make it possible to havea more uniform and more efficient exhaustion. The tables consist of individual modules, allowing virtually any size to be built. All tables have a segment control that only opens the section just above where cutting is taking place. This gives the best possible extraction and saves on energy costs.

KemTab Basic

In the familiar KEMPER quality, KemTab Basic cutting tables are the intelligent and inexpensive solution for cutting tasks with plate thickness of up to 75 mm. Due to the specified standard widths and lengths the Basic table can be produced more economically than conventional tables. The standard package includes mechanical segment control, material support and slag boxes.

KemTab Vibro

The KemTab Vibro enables tasks to be carried out using a cutting performance of in excess of 400 Amperes and a plate thickness of over 250 millimeters. It functions via a vibration conveyer that transports the slag to the end of the table, where they are collected in a container and can be removed. The result is substantially better utiliza-tion of the cutting system and higher efficiency.

KemTab Aqua

The KemTab Aqua was especially designed for Plasma Cutting. By cutting sheet metal under water, the cutting dust can be absorbed extensively and the noise will be considerably reduced. The very low distortion levels and a high quality in cutting are two more advantages of the KemTab Aqua.

USING ENERGY MORE EFFIC IENTLY.

A solar energy system is a long-term investment. The same can be said for our tracking systems. The construction is torsion-free, especially robust and long-lasting. At the same time we were aiming for an extremely modular system. All elements can be fixed with screws, allowing for very easy installation on the one hand while the tracking systems take up very little space and can be transported in standard containers throughout the world in no time at all. Optionally the frame can also be delivered welded and pre-assem-bled.

The used industrial drives are durable, low mainte-nance and especially stable.

The astronomical control of the two drives has innova-tive functions and ensures an increased power output by up to 40 %. The position of the sun is determined via the location, date and time and the surface of the module is optimally aligned with the sun.

This principle has the advantage of functioningindependent of prevailing weather conditions.Software algorithms prevent modules fromobscuring each other at low irradiation angles.

Several controls can be linked, connected to wind sensors and remotely controlled via a bus system.

Our many years of experience in mechanical engineering has been incorporatedinto the development of the two-axis tracking system.
