Prayer is not a “spare tire” that you pull out when in

trouble, but it is a “steering wheel” that directs the right path throughout the journey.

Your PNC is still here! Yes, we have candidates we like as potential pastors for our church. But, we're still open and looking.The Challenge: our church has more needs than resources. We want it ALL in a part-time package. (Typical, isn't it?) There are some ministers out there who are very interested in our congregation, ministry and location. There are some who have what we truly need, some who can do what we want, others who have the potential to be great for us. Our charge from you, though, is seeking God's will for our congregation and community. In this, we must constantly seek your prayers for guidance. Please encourage and support us in taking the time needed to make the best choice.

A few weeks ago, my sister shared a devotion with me she had heard in her bible study. The leader was talking about stumbling blocks. Those little things which trip us up. She reminded the group of the shuttle 'Challenger. Everything seemed good for 'go'. Then things got cold (rough?) and that small, simple circle of rubber could not flex. That 'little piece' became a 'big problem.' Disaster struck. In our lives, we must be ever vigilant for stumbling blocks and '0' rings--some are hidden, some we are faintly aware MAY be a potential problem. Part of the challenge given to each of us is to be aware to those 'little things' and seek God's guidance is dealing with them before they become 'big things' in our lives and church.

As always, the PNC continues to seek your prayers and support as we continue on this journey for our church.

During this month there have been things going on. Donna Hannah went into the room where we keep a lot of our “tea” things. Water was everywhere. The air conditioner unit was leaking. Donna called for help and started trying to mop up the water. As the clean up got under way it was discovered that the hot water heater was leaking also. I did what I am good at and called Tommy Hannah. He came to the church and helped us unstop the drain and get the water all cleared out. The items stored there were moved and placed in another place. As the items were moved out we discovered mold on the walls in that room. Tommy cleaned up the mold and once again the room is safe. Tommy and Harry bought and installed the heater. Thank you, Tommy and Harry.

We also replaced one of the dishwashers. Tommy and Valerie donated one to the church.

Delmar, Tommy and Harry are working on the ditch behind the fellowship hall to keep the water from coming in the building.

Thank you, Donna Hannah and John Schuetze for keeping the flowers watered.
