Concept: My idea is to unvail the new emerging creative talent of which the outisde world wants to see and needs to know about. To show off the cream of the crop (which was my first idea however I saw it had been pitched before) and to entice people in to see what it actually is all about. I want to create interest yet not give them everything in the poster, leave them wanting to see more. So I chose the word ‘Revealed’ almost to say that we are finally showing the new/best creatives leaving the corse and creating excitement about them doing so. Also the word revealed also suggests that the visiting proffessionals needs to take an interest, kind of sparking their competitive streak to want to work with us as creative. Using the word revealed I also want to play with the idea of the talent being away from the outside world’s eye, creating a want and need to see what has been going on. Revealed then allows the oppourtunity to play with print and create and interactive/clever design of which expresses a range of creatives within the building. Also showing off the design ability of students. Could make the information hidden and the ‘reveal’ it such as in this poster, adding excitement/interest and it looks interesting. Invitations: The invitations could have say the word then ‘reveal’ the rest of the information through the folds to unvail the exhibition sticking to the them and concept. Outter packaging could be like the image on the right, not neccesarily that style however the perforated edge would also link into the ‘revealed’ idea and show the title of the exhibition and leeds college of art Posters: Take photos of people from all the different courses on colour backgrounds then hide their faces with the information about revealed Kim Sandford BA Graphic Design Concept: Revealed

Concept:

My idea is to unvail the new emerging creative talent of which the outisde world wants to see and needs to know about.

Invitations:

The invitations could have say the word then ‘reveal’ the rest of the information through the folds to unvail the exhibition sticking to the them and concept.

Outter packaging could be like the image on the right, not neccesarily that style however the perforated edge would also link into the ‘revealed’ idea and show the title of the exhibition and leeds college of art

For the type/logo of the end of year show I wanted to have some of the word revealed and some of the word hidden as to express the same idea I am going for with the imagery, to entice and create interest of the students leaving

I really like the idea of doing portraits of different people from the college behind this white box with the information on, as if we are unvailing and presenting the next talented creative coming out of the college. I think it will look quite nice with different colour backgrounds too as this will be different to past exhibitions and also catch peoples eye. Although each different student from a different course might have a different colour background the layout will stay the same to create a series.

On the other hand it could use photographs from empty workspaces of the students as if they are their own case studies and create a sort of hype around the fact you can come in and see the students work and where it has come from.

It woud be easily applied across the media from the web banners to large scale print.

I also want to use different photos but with the same layout. So you can see if all links but still shwcasing a range of different people from the college.

For the invitation it would be like a 3 fold out poster however the size of the folded up invitation would be A6.

The front of the leaflet would link with the idea of ‘reveal’ and only have a section of the invitation on it so the rest is revealed when they look in (like the posters relating to the exhibition).

The photographs in the background would also change.
