WORK DESIGN AND ERGONOMICS ?
The history started during the World War II when psychologists, physiologists, anthropologist, doctors, and egineers began to applied technology and human sciences together.
Ergonomics : the study of the interaction between people andmachines and the factors that affect the interaction (Bridger,2003).
Ergonomics : from the Greek words ergon (work) and nomos (law) (Dul and Weerdmeester, 2008).
Ergonomics ~ Human Factors/Ergonomics (HFE)
Work design/engineering : study of principles and techniques toestablish the best work design (human, materials, environment) optimal effectivity, efficiency, and productivity

WORK SPEED AND ERROR
1. Two factors as productivityinput : - Amount/number of outputs
achieved- Time needed to complete a
job/task
2. Productivity rate increasemust consider quality controlof the product.
Work speed and error aregenerally correlated, considering: age, experience, ability
