the wall with a 6mm notch trowel.

STEP 2

Press and slide the

tiles into the adhesive

at right angles to the

notch pattern, then position the tile.

STEP 3

Use the tile spacers

to ensure the tiles are

spaced evenly.

STEP 4

Remove any surplus

adhesive from the

face of the tile before

it sets.

OVERLAY FLOORING IN 4 EASY STEPSYou’ll need: handsaw, hammer, square,

pencil, tape measure, scissors, jigsaw and

circular saw.

1. Measure the area you want to floor

and determine how many square

metres you will need for both the foam

underlay and overlay flooring.

2. Make sure the floor is smooth

and clean.

3. Lay the foam underlay, cutting in 3-5cm

from the wall.

4. Lay the overlay flooring. Use a jigsaw

for cutting flooring panels to fit around

doorjambs, leaving clearance for

tongue and groove fitting. Make sure

you leave recommended expansion

gaps.

special care to fill all cracks, no matter how

small they are.

Make sure the floor is flat. This is easy to
