Primary structural frame, carefully laid out and calculated and

suitable materials choosen so that it is safe and will not deflect

excessively.

Frame gives rigidity and equal transfere of loads working there way

through the structure to the founds.

Reinforced concrete walls (such as the lift cores)act to resist laterial

loads bracing the structure.

Materials in use: concrete is strong in compression and is reinforced

with steel bars to resist tensile stresses.

I-beams, the web resists bending and the flanges resist shear and

torsion.
