All of our stationery and paper products are laser-cut.

Laser-cutting is an advanced technology that uses a directed, high-power laser beam to cut a computer-specified pattern. Each of our designs are drawn by hand, input into the computer, and then translated by the laser-cutter to create our cards. Aesthetically, the result is reminiscent of the ancient paper cutting art form and yet the technology allows for intricate patterns to be cut with ease, speed, and perfection. Paper cutting is a beautiful technique that allows for layering of paper and color to create interactive cards with depth. Some browning may occur due to the inherent process of laser-cutting. However, our goal is to always achieve as minimal burn as possible and deliver a cleanly-cut card.

HELLO! A LITTLE BIT ABOUT plane paper

hello. this is our story:

plane paper is a Florida-based company that was founded in the Fall of 2011. plane paper is a play on words, referencing a card’s origin from a single plane of paper, from which it is transformed and manipulated into something that is anything but plain. The cards truly stand out by utilizing the negative process of subtracting and cutting paper away, as opposed to the additive process of printing with ink.

Domestic orders ship using USPS 2-3 day priority from Florida and are subject to shipping & handling charges based on destination and speed. papers + packagingWe strive to use paper + envelopes that are made from 100% post-consumer recycled fibers and are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.• Our signature white cards use Sundance 100 PC White 110 lb. cover stock paper.• Flat stationery is cut on luxuriously thick Classic Crest Solar White 165 lb. cover stock. • We feature duplex stock to highlight each card’s inherent depth. The 120 lb. Classic Duplex papers pair a rich color (red, royal blue, gray, or black) with a bright white interior. We also love our bright 105 lb. Sorbet Duplex papers. This stock features bright color combinations: pink + green, green + blue, and blue + purple.Single cards are paired with an envelope and carefully packaged in crystal clear certified compostable EarthFirst PLA film. The insides of our cards are blank for a personal message and the back is stamped with our logo in black. Box sets are paired with envelopes and packaged in a clear box with a label outlining the contents.
