“Marimax” is a new tomato variety that is developed and selected for

planting for planting around Nueva Vizcaya and other growing areas that prefer

plum/pear shaped tomato. The variety is similar to the older tomato variety

“Marimar” in fruit shape ad resistances to bacterial wilt (Ralstonia) and tomato mosaic

virus (ToMV). However, “Marimax” has very good tolerance to the tomato yellow

leaf curls virus (ToLCV) whereas “Marimar” is very susceptible. Average fruit size is

60-70 g which are 10-20 g bigger than Marimar.

Dulce F1 is a fine netted cream skinned melon. It has a highly vigorous, trailing and vinyl plant type with profuse flowering until harvesting stage. Fruit qualities include round to high round shape, deep salmon/orange fresh color, small seed cavity, very aromatic with an average fruit weight of 1-1.2 kg.

Dulce F1 has intermediate resistance (IR) to downy mildew Pseudoperonospora cubensis) and Germinivirus.

S6003 is a high yielding hybrid variety widely adaptable to different production environments in the Philippines. It has a maturity of 105 DAS. It has a plant height of 113 cm and have an average of 15 tillers per plant. It is easy to recognize for its characteristics, purple culm, purple leaf margins and purple tip of grain. Grain Fertility percentage observed to be at 86%.

High tolerance to lodging observed during wet season. It has intermediate tolerance to Bacterial Leaf Blight and Bacterial Leaf Streak. Moderate resistance to Brown Plant hoppers and Blast. S6003 is classified to have a grain type of Long Slender with L/W ratio of 2.3. Amylose content was observed to intermediate with 22.6%. It is observed to have 70.7% Milling Recovery and 47.7% Head Rice Recovery.
