Band Profile: PLATONG JAZZ BAND

วง PLATONG Jazz Band มาจากชื่อเลน “ปลาทอง” ซึ่งเปนหัวหนาวง สมาชิกในวงรูจักกันในชวงเรียนมหาวิทยาลัยบางและผานทางการพูดคุยและแลกเปลี่ยนความรูทางดานดนตรี เลนแจมกัน นัดพบปะสังสรรคตามงานคอนเสิรตและมีตติ้ง ไปจนถึงแจมกันตามรานที่สมาชิกในวงเลน จนกลายมาเปนเพื่อนสนิทตางวัย ตางอาชีพ แตมีจุดหมายและรักในสิ่งเดียวกัน คือ “ดนตร”ี

วงประกอบดวยนักดนตรีฝมือเยี่ยมอยาง ปลาทอง (มือทรมัเปต/ฮอรน), ตี๋, ขวัญ

(นักรอง), นัท (กีตาร), ลอรด (เปยนโน) ,เสริฐ (ดับเบิ้ลเบส) และเครื่องดนตรีเสริมอื่นๆ เชน กลอง เพอรคัสชัน แซกโซโฟน ทรอมโบน แตละคนตางก็มีประสบการณทางดนตรีในแบบของตัวเอง ดวยประสบการณของแตละคนซึ่งเคยออกอัลบั้ม, เลนแบ็กอัพศิลปน, เลนอาชีพตามโรงแรมหาดาวและผับช้ันนํามากมาย, รานกาแฟ, Event รวมไปถึงคอนเ สิรตใหญอยาง แจสหัวหินและสนามเสือปา, หรืองานตางประเทศ เชน FCC Angkor Hotel ทําใหสามารถเลนเพลงในแนวอื่นไดหลากหลายโดยนํามาเลนในสไตลเฉพาะของวง โดยขนาดของวงมีตั้งแตอะคูสติก 2 ช้ิน ถึงวง Bigband 17 ช้ิน หรือแมแต DJ ซึ่งอาศัยความชํานาญและการฝกซอมใหเลนเขาขากันเปนอยางดี

“PLATONG Jazz Band” This band was formed by “PLATONG”, band

leader and trumpet musician who love jazz music, start by play in Chulalongkorn University Bigband (CU BAND) and exchange our idea in playing jazz music and sometimes play together in jam session under same thing we love..”MUSIC”.

Our band member meet in many concert and jazz pub. In 2003, we

form the band from our close friends from everywhere and play jazz at Brown Sugar, Saxophone Pub, Witch Travern, Foodloft@Central Chidlom, Starbucks, Wawee Coffee, Studio Bar@Pathumwan Princess Hotel, 360-bar@Hilton Millenium, Fallabella, Fuzio Italian restaurant, Huahin Jazz Festival, Thailand Jazz Festival and many event like Bangkok Motorshow. Also we play internationally, like FCC Angkor Hotel (SiemReap, Cambodia). Our band consists of professional musician in many form from Acoustic duo to Bigband, we play easy-listening, standard jazz, Bebop, Ballad, Bossanova, party music.

Idea for play in this band is to communicate between musician and

audience. Any requests song are welcome. This band play in any band size from Duo to Bigband (2-11 person), also DJ. Our rehearsal make us strong professional band and touch audience with our kind.


ปลาทอง, เกรียงไกร สนัติพจนา Trumpet ปลาทอง วศิวกรหนุมผูหลงรักแจส เริ่มจากตอนเด็กที่รองเพลงประสานเสียงที่โบสถ แลวมาหัดเลนทรัมเปตตอนม.1 ชมรมดนตรีสากล โรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัย และเปนหัวหนาวง พอเขามหาวทิยาลัยก็สมคัรชมรมดนตรีสากล สโมสรนิสิตจุฬาลงกรณมหาวิทยาลัย (CU BAND) เลนวงBIG BAND ตลอด 4 ป จนไดเปนหัวหนาวง CU BAND ไดเลนคอนเสิรตของมหาวิทยาลัยอีกหลายครั้ง รวมถงึไดเลนเปนวงเปดใหกับวงระดับโลกอยาง Count Basie ที่ประเทศไทยในป 2539 และเขารวมประกวดแจสครั้งที่ 1 และ 2

เมื่อเรียนจบ คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร จุฬาลงกรณมหาวิทยาลัย ไดเขารวมประกวด

วงดนตรีซึ่งจัดโดยกรุงเทพมหานคร ไดรางวัลนักดนตรีประกอบทีมยอดเยี่ยม เริ่มหัดเลน Jazz กับอาจารย Nick La Fleur และต้ังวง JRP Little Bigband (ปจจุบันเลนประจําที่รานแซกโซโฟน) เคยไดรับรางวัลวงอันดับ 2 ของการประกวดเนสกาแฟ 2545 เคยเลนเปนวงเปดใหกับนักทรัมเปตระดับโลก Maynard Ferguson

ดาน Music Business ปลาทองเลนและอัดเสียงใหกับศิลปนมากมายเชน Kaijo

Brother, Groove Raider, Jack Sukarom, Penguin Villa, Jazzy, มะซอการเดน,วงสาวสะดุง, Art Vacation (อารต คืนใจ) รวมทั้งแสดงที่ Esplanet ประเทศสงิคโปร ในฐานะ Thailand Representative รวมกับวง KaiJo Brother ปลาทองเคยทําอัลบั้มกับเพื่อนๆ วง P.A. System ชุด Identity ซึ่งมีแพม ลลิตา ตะเวทิกุล เปน Producer, รวมถึงวงฟองน้ํา โดยอ.บรูซ แกสตัน ปจจุบันมีอัลบั้มแจสที่จะออกกับคายอินดี้เรว็ๆ นีโดยพระคุณพระเจา ปลาทองไดกลับไปเลนดนตรี ในโบสถอีกครั้งโดยรวมเลนกับทีมนมัสการคริสตจักรนิมิตใหม, วงดนตรีประสานเสยีงมิชชันนารีมีรัลและตามคอนเสิรตคริสเตียนตางๆ อยูเสมอ

ปจจุบันปลาทองเปนนักดนตรีอาชีพ เลนอยูที่ราน Saxophone, Brown Sugar, A-Garden, Fuzio italian restaurant, Wawee coffee, starbucks coffee, 360 Bar@Millenium Hilton Hotel เปนสมาชิกวง JRP Little Bigband, ICU Band (วงศิษยเกา CU Band) และทําวงขนาดตางๆ (2-11 ช้ิน) เพื่อเลนในงานแตงงานและ Event ตางๆ, อัดสปอรตโฆษณา เชน Bangkok Glass, เนสกาแฟ3in1 , นักดนตรีเบื้องหลังศิลปนอยาง Art Vacation (เพลงคืนใจ) และ Stranger (คาย LoveIs) หรือ Cross-over ไปยังดนตรีแบบเปดแผนไดมีโอกาสรูจัก DJ และลองแนวดนตรีใหมๆ ซึ่งดึงเอาประสบการณที่เคยเลนกับพี่หนุม T-Bone และงาน Ferrari Club ซึ่งเลนกับดีเจ มาสรางสรรคดนตรีในแนวใหมได
