2015 has been a very exciting one for the Temple Parks

& Recreation Department. I would like to take this time to

personally thank the citizens of Temple and the many local

community groups for their outpouring of support for their

park system over the last few months. With the passage of

the new Parks Bond this past May, our vision for the future

of Temple’s parks is now a reality. We are going to be able to

continue off ering the parks, facilities, and amenities the citizens

of Temple want and deserve. It is a time to truly be thankful.

As the autumn months are ushered in and the days get

cooler, the fun is just heating up at Temple Parks & Recreation.

From Haunted Hayrides to Christmas Parades, the next few

months are packed full of special events and activities to help

get you outdoors and excited for the upcoming holiday season!

Want to connect? Don’t forget to visit us online at

TempleParks.com, on Facebook and on Instagram to stay up to

date on the latest from Temple Parks & Recreation.

Until next year, I will see you outside.

Temple Parks & Recreation staff work diligently to provide citizens with clean, attractive, and well maintained areas. Due to the large number of parks in Temple, it is difficult to keep each park in top condition at all times. We are very thankful for all the help from our wonderful community members and organizations that help us maintain and enhance our parks!

Adopt-A-Park groups help inform parks staff of issues or wants for their park and also organize park work days, cleaning up, planting plants and trees, and other projects to maintain or enhance their park.
