1. General Information 1.1. The Prerelease Program

Pokémon Prerelease tournaments are available to qualified locations that are located in a game store or hobby shop, are currently running a Pokémon League, and have an active Professor who is a certified Organizer in good standing. Your League will need to show consistent and accurate League activity each month to be considered for approval.

Please Note: There are changes only applicable to Sword & Shield—Vivid Voltage Prerelease, none of these changes will impact future eligibility or allocation negatively.

1.2. Prerelease Program Eligibility

Due to the current situation surrounding the 2020 Pokémon Championship Series there will be temporary changes to our eligibility.

To be eligible for Sword & Shield—Vivid Voltage Prerelease, your League must have been eligible for April Prerelease: Sword & Shield—Rebel Clash.

If you were not eligible for the April Prerelease: Sword & Shield—Rebel Clash, you will be deemed ineligible and your reservation will be denied.

As our 2020 Pokémon Championship Series is cancelled, we will not require you to sanction a Prerelease event. The Prerelease Window is only to reference when you may being selling Build & Battle Boxes.

1.3. Prerelease Kits, Allocation, and Shipping One Prerelease Kit includes 10 Build & Battle Boxes (each of which includes a promo card), a booster display containing 36 booster packs, and a Basic Energy Box containing 450 assorted Energy cards.

With the changes to our Sword & Shield—Vivid Voltage Prerelease, allocation of these kits will be based from your kit allocation for Sword & Shield—Rebel Clash. Please see the allocation breakdown in the Appendix section for more details. Please note that for this set, Prerelease kits must be purchased through, and will be shipped by, your chosen reseller.

Please make sure all shipping and contact information on your League Page is accurate, as this will be the address we use to ship your STAFF Promo cards. For information on Prerelease Kit content breakdown, please see Section 4.
