1. To love the Lord our God
with all our heart and with all
our soul and with all our mind
and with all our strength.
2. To love our neighbors as
ourselves.
3. To go and make
disciples of all nations, baptiz-
ing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of
the Holy Spirit, and teaching
them to obey everything
Christ has
commanded us.

Everyone is asked to fill out a Fellowship Card, which you will find in the song book rack. If you
have questions or comments, feel free to write them on the back of the Fellowship Card, or talk
to any member. The cards are picked up at the start of our service or can be placed in an
offering plate.
For visitors, more general information is available on bookmarks in the Bibles located in the
song book rack.
Monday through Friday 9 AM to 1 PM
Deacon’s meeting today at 3:30 PM
Please help
us to organize:
1. Every member should have a mailbox. Please make sure you have a
mailbox. Also, please check it monthly and discard unwanted items, there
is a recycle bin below the mailboxes for your use.
2. There is a directory kept in the lobby below the family calendar. Please
look for your name and confirm that the data is correct. New updated
directories will be printed soon, so get your input in quickly.
3. There is a coat rack in the lobby with jackets on it. We plan to donate
all coats to the clothing drive that are left more than one week. Behind
the Bread for the Family there is a small rack with Lost and Found items,
please check there if you have misplaced anything.
Thank you, all corrections and comments can go into my box.

A theme verse for this year’s event
is Romans 15:6. Romans 15:5-6
reads, "May the God who gives
endurance and encouragement give
you a spirit of unity among your-
selves as you follow Christ Jesus, so
that with one heart and mouth you
may glorify the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Look for a poster on the “spin
tower” in the foyer for further
information.
-------
As I consider the verses from
Romans, I consider another theme
in addition to united prayer.
God gives us endurance and en-
couragement. I am thankful that he
provides those resources to us.
There are moments when challeng-
es of the day or week can tempt us
to give up the race or simply go
The first Thursday of May is set
aside as the “National Day of
Prayer.” I have participated in the
local event several times and al-
ways been glad that I did. I know
that several of you have also
taken part in that prayer time.
Thursday, May 1, the gathering
will occur downtown on the lawn
of the Benton County Courthouse.
It begins at noon or shortly
thereafter and lasts about an
hour. It is always fine to come late
or leave early. Many people do
that in order to fit their work
schedules.

I had a great week this week. On Monday I went with Darren Williamson one of the CITE board members to Boise State University to check out their biblical studies program. I was encouraged by what we have been able to do here at UCC and excited about ways that we can get more students involved and how we can get the word out about this great program. If you know of anyone who would benefit from taking a Bible course, let me know or go to our website osucc.com and click on the link for CITE. If you want to take a class at a specific time let me know so we can try to schedule one that fits your schedule. We are also looking forward to the induction of student leaders for next year. We are ex-cited about what God is going to do through the UCC and Circle as we work together to grow disciples and live as kingdom people. One more thing, you are invited to come to the UCC on Tuesday at 7pm to hear Jose Reyes share about "Time and the Cosmos - A Source of Hope."
