CPI is a leading manufacturer of Fiberglass Reinforced - Plastic (GRP) systems with more than 44 years of experience (15 years in Oman) in supplying piping solutions globally.

Cutting edge technology of filament wound reinforced thermosetting resin piping systems was acquired from the former SEPMA Company of France.

Production star ted in 1999 in the sultanate of Oman, this technology was fur ther enhanced by research and developments in association with local universities.

Composite Pipes Industry LLC (CPI) was first established in 1997 at Sohar Industrial Estate in Oman. This is the first company in Oman to be involved in the manufacture of Fiberglass Piping Systems (GRE/GRP/GRV).

CPI has a state of the art technology that serves the oil and gas industries, with manufacturing, engineering and field services. In addition, we are involved in the national economic development through utilizing local resources, limiting import, providing employment opportunities and training local workforce ultimately to aid career progression.

In an era of advanced and innovative technologies, we continuously strive for innovation and enhanced efficiency. CPI has a dedicated research and development department that has been working closely in collaboration with Sultan Qaboos University and Research Council to find further advances and innovation in this field.

The aim of the company is to expand its activities and responsibilities to help in the management and development of the oil and gas sector in the upstream production, midstream transportation and downstream.

QA/QCCPI QA/QC is fully equipped with all the resources required to comply with International Standards and Customer Requirements. CPI is accredited by TUV Nord for ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Certification for quality management and environmental systems. Also successfully undergone audits and product testing and acquired product approval from FM 1614, NSF/ANSI 61, API 15 HR and API 15 LR. CPI obtained various customer approvals through stringent audits and product qualifications, testing and complete compliance to the customer specification. Listed as approved vendor from major clients such as PDO, BP, Saudi Aramco, KNPC, KOC, EIL, ONGC and Haya Water. We have trained, experience and enthusiastic personnels working as a team to ensure customer satisfaction through routine monitoring and adherence to Quality Management System.

Pipes & FittingsCPI piping systems are designed and manufactured in accordance with the international codes and standards such as ISO 14692, PDO SP 2092, DEP 31.40.10.19, AWWA M45 & C950, API 15LR & 15HR and testing standards comply with ASTM D4024, D3567, D2992, D1598, D1599.

Pipes are manufactured by filament winding of continuous fiberglass roving impregnated and saturated with resin on the outside of a rotating mandrel in a dual helix predetermined pattern and under controlled tension.

Consultancy ServicesProject Management: CPI’s in house team (PMT) of experienced engineers serves as a contact point for our customers throughout the order life-cycle. PMT acts as a liason between the company and the customer to provide the latest updates to contract and project status. In addition to handling contract and project enquiries, PMT coordinates timelines and schedules for production, site services and engineering activities through integrated project plans.

PMT works with other divisions to effectively manage a customer contract from beginning to end in accordance with the contract’s requirements and milestones to ensure a smooth flow of activities and deliverables as per the agreed-upon project plan. In doing so, PMT is able to provide CPI customers with customized product and service offerings, boosting the unique selling proposition of CPI as a “Total Solution Provider.”

The group operates a strict ISO 9001 set of procedures which each department complies with in order to ensure the smooth running of client relations.

Supervision ServicesSite Services:

CPI’s Site Services Department is responsible for the preparation and execution of the services that the company provides on-site as part of its contracts. This broad function ranges from supplying an entire site crew to perform the jointing task when pipes are being laid to simply supplying a site engineer to oversee all tasks connected with a pipe-laying in Oman.

Our Site Services Department also provides an after-sales service when customers lay pipes supplied by CPI. The Department provides all the technical assistance on-site as well as observe the installation quality to ensure that it complies with standards.

Our in house crew is trained and approved by various oil and gas companies in Oman.

Engineering CapabilitiesEngineering Services:CPI has the advantage of having in-house design capability along with manufacturing unit of GRP piping systems. Production difficulties encountered along with effective quality system provides necessary input to design so as to take into account and make necessary changes to the Fiberglass Pipes (GRE, GRP, GRV) product design to provide economical and reliable product which meet the customer requirement.
