Radio at 11 tomorrow
morning. It will be the
46th episode of the
monthly programme,
which will be broadcast on
the entire network of AIR
and Doordarshan.
It will also be streamed on
the YouTube channels of
the Prime Minister's
PM Modi to share his thoughts in
Mann Ki Baat programme on AIR today

Broadcasting Ministry,
AIR and DD News. It will
be simultaneously
broadcast on AIR's
w e b s i t e
www.allindiaradio.gov.in.
AIR will broadcast the
programme in regional
languages immediately
after the Hindi broadcast.

Health Minister Shri JP
Nadda today said there is
a paradigm shift in
formulation of Viral
Hepatitis Control Program
under the guidance of
Prime Minister, Shri
Narendra Modi.
He said, government has a
bottoms-up approach with
active participation of
stakeholders from the
states and the field, making
it comprehensive in its
framework. He was
speaking at the launch of
National Viral Hepatitis
Control Program in New
Delhi on the occasion of
World Hepatitis Day.
The Minister said the
National Viral Hepatitis
Control Program will

competition (greeting,

making) for school
children; and quiz
competition based on arts
and cultures of our
beautiful world for public
at Andaman Club
yesterday.
The poster, greeting
card and bookmark making
competition was organized
for school children in the
morning in which a good
number of students from
different government and
private schools
participated. This was
followed by a quiz
competition in the evening
in which 5 teams consisting
of three members each
qualified for the final
round. The quiz was hosted
by the quiz master,
Secretary (Art & Culture),
Smti. Neha Bansal. In the
quiz competition, team
Viper bagged the first
position while team
Chatham and Barren
secured the second & third
positions respectively and
were awarded with
certificates and cash prizes
of Rs. 15,000, Rs. 9000 and
Rs. 6000 respectively. Team
Ross and Narcondam were

Parliament, Shri Bishnu
Pada Ray inaugurated the
MP inaugurates two citizen centric projects
accomplished through MPLAD fund

18 (Garacharma) in the
presence of the Ward
Councillor Garachrama,
Smt. Rubana Aziz and a
good number of villagers.
He also inaugurated the
drinking water facility at
Corbyn's Cove in the
presence of the PBMC
Chairperson, Shri Indra Pal
Singh, the Ward Councillor,
Shri SNN Gregory and a

of that area.
Addressing the gathering
at both these places, the
Member of Parliament
expressed happiness that
two beneficial projects

of all, ANISHI scheme has
been implemented in these
Islands under which
treatment to the tune of Rs
5 lakh is free in mainland
hospitals. Many people
have availed the benefits of
this scheme, he said. The
rate for food per child in
Anganwadi Centres has
been enhanced from Rs. 8
to 13. He said the wages of
the DRMs working in
different depar tments

Qualifies for Diamond League FinalsZurich, July 28
India's star javelin thrower
Neeraj Chopra has qualified for
the prest igious Diamond
League Final, which will be held
here on August 30.
Reigning Commonwealth
Games champion, Chopra,
finished fifth in the Rabat
(Morocco) leg of the Diamond
League series earlier this
month, with a best throw of
83.32m.
He collected four Diamond
League points from there and
made it to the Final along with
five other athletes.
Besides Chopra, current world
champion Johannes Vetter,
Olympic champion Thomas
Rohler, 2017 IAAF Diamond
League champion Jakub
Vadlejch, German champion
Andreas Hofmann and
Estonian record holder

the digital space does not fall into the hands of the dark forces.
He further stated that it is evident, without technology, we cannot live, but the
way out is to provide security of services; and urged all the Heads of the Departments
of A&N Administration dealing with digital services to ensure its security, so as to
safeguard the interest of people.
He also threw light on the drawbacks of free app services offered by companies
in other countries which lead to divulging of personal data of individual, which can
further be used for their benefit. He said, the aim of this sensitization programme is to
disseminate information related to safety and security on usage of information
technology and to safe guard the online services provided to public.
The resource persons Shri M.V. Padmanabhiah, Director STQC, Hyderabad and
Shri Jagan Mohan Rao, Additional Director STQC, Hyderabad through powerpoint
presentations highlighted about information security management systems,
management system standards, requirement of ISO/IEC 2700I:2013, how to implement
ISMS and how to get certification of ISMS, route to ISMS certification besides the
proposed scope of certification for ISMS for A&N Islands and the need for improving
the IT culture here in the Islands.
The officers present at the workshop also raised queries pertaining to
implementation of Information Security Management System and its services here in
Isles which were answered by the resource persons.
Earlier, the Special Secretary (IT), Dr. Utpal Sharma welcomed the gathering and
highlighted about the objective of the programme.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. The tender should be submitted duly subscripted “QUOTATION FOR
SUPPLY OF STATIONARY ITEMS, OFFICE FURNITURE AND COMPUTER
PERIPHERAL” addressed to the Executive Engineer, Minor Irrigation Division,
APWD, Hut Bay, Little Andaman on or before 13-08-2018 by 1500 hrs, and the same
will be opened on the same day by 1530 hrs, in presence of tenderers or their
representatives (if any).
2. Quotations received after due date and time will not be entertained.
3. Quotation should be accompanied with an EMD of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand Only) in the shape of call deposit or demand draft drawn in favour of EE,
MID, APWD, Hut Bay for any nationalized bank. Quotation without EMD will not be
accepted.
4. The order shall be placed on accepted rate of quotationer, as per the requirement from time to time and the items should be supplied within 15 days from
the date of issue of supply order failing which the EMD so deposited will be forfeited
to Government Account.
5. The rate quoted should be inclusive of all charges (excise, sale tax/VAT,
transport, shipping) and other duly charges as well as to safe delivery upto the Office
of the Executive Engineer, MID, APWD, Hut Bay.
6. The items should be supplied in standard packaging and, if any, damages
occurred during transportation, will be born by the supplier and the items found substandard will be rejected/returned and replacement shall be made at the cost of
supplier.
7. The make/brand of the item for which the rate is quoted should also be
indicated specifically in the quotation and the rate should be quoted in figure as well as words.
8. The rate quoted will be valid for one year from the date of acceptance and the
department will not have any responsibility for a hike in the price during the period.
9. The sample of each items for which rate is quoted is to be shown/produced as
and when called for and supply is to be made strictly as per the approved samples.
10. The Executive Engineer, MID, APWD, Hut Bay reserves the right to accept or
reject any or all the quotation or part thereof without assigning any reason.
11. If a firm after awarding the contract violates any of the above terms and conditions, the quotation shall be cancelled immediately and EMD will be forfeited.
