Industrial CMC III Purpose of measurement data capture

Before efficiency can be enhanced in industrial applications, measurement data needs to be captured.

Data can be linked in the SCADA system in conjunction with process data from the PLC machine control system.

Measurement data to the SCADA system– via OPC / SNMP

– via RiZone databases / process database

Result-oriented effective energy saving (customer benefits)– Major energy consumers can be covered and set to come on for a specific time

– Major energy consumers can be replaced with efficient systems

– Comprehensive, result-oriented analyses are possible

– The service life of components can be extended

– Automated measures possible without input from personnel

Industrial CMC III Extended application area

The industrial CMC III has been designed for enclosures and housings. The CMC III satisfies all fundamental requirements.

Power supply and installation– Power supply through terminals with 24 V DC– Installed on enclosure frame or mounting plate

Functions– Monitoring of the Rittal climate control unit– E-mail notification of open door or over-temperature– E-mail notification of need to replace filter mats for maintenance purposes– Graphical representation of temperature profile for analyses– Activation of 24 V DC enclosure light when door is open (230 V available as

option)– Deactivation of cooling unit when door is open– Economical solution for individual enclosures– Extendible thanks to CAN bus sensors– Optional access system for enclosure

Industrial CMC III Control station link

Control station systems are often used in building technology and industry, and these systems need to be supplied with monitoring information in the network. It makes no sense to transfer this information via a third system such as controls. Rittal offers a solution in the from of an integrated OPC server, which is compatible with 99 % of control stations. Information can be transmitted directly to the control station system.

Direct support of control station systems– Building Management System (BMS)– Building services management (GLT)– Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)

OLE for Process Control OPC– Object Linking and Embedding – an object system developed by Microsoft for

linking different documents.
