ARCHBOLD 150TH CELEBRATION COMMUNITY WORSHIP SERVICE

Wednesday, July 13 - 7:30 PM Founder’s Hall

Part of what has made Archbold a unique community since its founding 150 years ago is its strong faith base. In that diverse base is one unifying hallmark, Jesus Christ is Lord.

Before or after the worship service, the community is invited to browse the displays area churches are creating to remind others of their development in the community.

Anyone who wants to bring an offering to the gathering is encouraged to make a donation to a new program in town that provides individual back packs of a few quick meals to students who may go hungry over the week-end. The program was launched on a trial basis this spring and will expand into a weekly service to families in need this fall. – Cecily Rohrs, for the Celebration Committee

The 2016 Children’s Retreat is in the books, and we are praying the many truths that the boys and girls learned during the weekend continue to be in their hearts. The staff and speakers were intentional in teaching and speaking God’s truth.

“These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts.

Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as

symbols on you hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:6-8
