Poe says unfazed by attempted disqualification case By Ryan Chua, ABS-CBN News Posted at 08/05/2015 4:31 PM MANILA - Senator Grace Poe said she would have wanted a case questioning her Philippine citizenship and residency to push through because it would give her the chance to clarify two crucial issues that could determine her qualification to seek higher office. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Poe linked the attempt to file a case before the Senate Electoral Tribunal seeking to unseat her to her possible 2016 run. But instead of discouraging her, she said the issues are only strengthening her resolve to fight for the rights of foundlings like her. Poe was found as a baby at a church in Iloilo City, and critics have used the fact that her biological parents remain unknown to question her citizenship.
