This event provides adirect service to students and other community members who idenVfy as Hispanic or LaVnx toparVcipate in a significant cultural event on campus. This event connects Hispanic and LaVnx studentsto peers with a shared cultural idenVty and foster greater visibility and pride for the Hispanic and LaVnxcommunity at Texas State.

Campuscommunity members who have not previously understood the meaning and customs of Día de losMuertos will come to understand the holiday as a Hispanic or LaVnx expression of honor for deceasedloved ones and ancestors.
