PÖYRY CASE SUMMARY:
Project DescriptionFortum has built a new power plant at the same site with their existing Suomen-oja power plant in Espoo, Finland. It was completed in 2009.
Producing 234 MW of electricity and 214 MW of district heat, the new gas turbine combined cycle power plant uses natural gas as fuel, reducing the use of coal and oil in the existing power plant.
ClientFortum Power & Heat Oy, Finland ProjectSuomenoja 2 Power Plant 234 MWe/ 214 MWth (DH). The combined cycle power plant consists of a gas turbine, heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), district heating back-pressure steam turbine with auxiliary systems and power plant buildings.
