The annual Pursuit of God Conference (POG) is an opportunity to develop a closer walk with God and explore new depths of intimacy in worship and prayer. The theme for this POG is ‘Unleashing the Power of Prayer’. Prayer is one of the most potent forces made available to humanity. It is a privileged act that gives us access to God and the unlimited power available in Him.

As Christians, prayer must become an essential part of our life if we are to live the victorious life purchased on the cross by the blood of Jesus. As children of God, prayer is an invitation to commune with a Father whose ears are attentive to our cries and who wants the best for His children. This June, as we seek God over 30 days through fasting and prayer, we believe that our prayers will unleash the awesome power of the Almighty God in our lives, in this church and in the Nation.

We are privileged to have various spirit-filled speakers with us who will share their knowledge and insight on the power of prayer. It is my prayer that as we seek God with all our hearts this month, we will experience new depths of relationship (faith, trust and confidence) with a God who answers prayers. I also pray that through this pursuit, we, the church, will become people of prayer - people that the Holy Spirit can use. I am confident that our lives will not be the same after this month.

‘What the Church needs today is not more machinery or better, not new organisations or more and novel methods, but men whom the Holy Ghost can use -- men of prayer, men mighty in prayer. The Holy Ghost does not flow through methods, but through men. He does not come on machinery, but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men -- men of prayer.’ E M Bounds

Enjoy the ‘pursuit’.
