Where are we form in Poland?

Raciborowice is a small and picturesque village located in Michalowice Commune in Lesser Poland

Michalowice Commune consists of 17 villages, the biggest of them is Michalowice with more then 2000 inhabitants. Raciborowice comes second with almost 700 inhabitants.

The community of Michalowice is situated 10 km north of the city of Cracow in the broad valley of the Dlubnia River, which further on joins the Vistula River.

POPULATIONThe community of Michalowice occupies an area of 51 sq. km and is populated by about 8000 cit izens. Location near the city of Cracow, good communication and beautiful landscapes make Michalowice an ideal place to live in.

There are not any minorit ies in Michalowice Commune at the moment. But …

Leon comes form the Republic of Moldova. We have invited him to our school and interviewed him. He told us a lot of intersting things about his country, his culture and things he misses most about life in Moldova.

Orheiul Vechi – Moldova's best known sight is the 13th century Cave Monastery

Inside the Orheiul Vechi Cave Monastery. This is the cave that sits on the side of the ridge.

After visiting the monasteries, tasting Moldovan’s wine should not be missed.

With a production of more than 100,000 tons of wine (2009), Moldova has a well-established wine industry.

The vineyards in villages around the houses make home-made wine, or "vin de casa". Many families have their own recipes and strands of grapes that have been passed down through the generations.
