What does the phrase ‘polar climate’ mean?
Regions with a polar climate are characterized by a lack of warm
summers.
It is type of weather pattern where the average temperatures rarely exceed
10°C.
There is relatively low precipitation (100-200mm per
year).
In the summer,
Most polar regions have 24 hours of sunlight
In the winter,
Most polar regions have 24 hours of night
Where are the places with polar climate?

There are two types of polar climate
Tundra Climate

Tundra• At least one month with an

• Trees cannot grow, but other specialized plants can grow. no plants can grow
Ice Cap• Where every month has an
average temperature of below 0°C
• No plants can grow
