+Special Diploma Elimination
n Due to statutory changes, eliminate the Special Diploma and Special Diploma Certificate of Completion graduation options (14-15 and thereafter)
n Students entering 9th grade in 2014-15 and thereafter will pursue a standard diploma
n Combination of course substitutions, assessments, industry certifications or occupational completion points (OCPs or MOCP’s) that meet criteria of State Board rule
n For Students Who Take the *FAA, Standard Diploma Option Includes:
n A portfolio of quantifiable evidence documenting mastery of academic standards through “rigorous metrics” established in rule. May include documentation of work, internships, community service and postsecondary credit.
*Must earn a Level 4 on the FAA or demonstrate proficiency through a portfolio
n Students may defer graduation
