Our Family Duty

As Poles we relate to a common background of

tradition, culture and historical experience.

Genealogy is a special study which relates

personally to the researcher and his or her

family. Its pursuit is both personally satisfying as

well as labor of love the fruits of which benefit

generations to follow.

Our Work PGSMA works each year to provide informative and educational events and resources that help enhance members’

genealogical research and understanding of Polish history and culture. We hold three speaker events per year as well as additional special outreach events. We host three to five talks and outreach events annually. Each is a chance to connect with other researchers as well as learn about a new methods and sources that will assist you in your own projects.

Our bi-annual newsletter, Biuletyn Korzenie (Roots Bulletin) is mailed to our members. We welcome articles by our members that discuss their research and preserve the history of their family. Topics include new genealogical resources and techniques, interesting research projects, book reviews, and a schedule of upcoming genealogical events. Our website and Facebook page provide information about genealogical resources and area cultural events. Both resources also allow individuals to share information and reach out to others for assistance, to make connections and to ask questions.
