Gain a new understanding of world affairs with courses offered by the College of Arts and Science’s Department of Politics at several of NYU’s global locations. Whether their focus is on German or Italian postwar politics, Arab-Israeli relations, or the economic policy of the United States, students investigate their host country’s role within the worldwide community using rigorous social science methods. Renowned faculty, who are leaders in their fields, teach courses on Latin America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa, Russia, India, and China. The department also offers a major in International Relations that gives students a comprehensive interdisciplinary understanding of global politics.
