● 206 BC- AD 220● Started with fight between Xiang Yu and Liu Bang● Liu Bang won, and established Han Dynasty in 206 BC-
Liu Bang changes name to Gaozu and becomes first emperor of Han Dynasty

There were many great achievements during the Han Dynasty
Some poetry and literature was made during the Han Dynasty.
Water clocks that always has the correct time.Smithery,spinning, weaving, decorating mirrors, and
the use of iron were all accomplishments of the Han Dynasty.The Chinese invented paper, to copy down their idea’s and events.
Twine, broken cloth and unused net was how paper was invented
Han Dynasty Technology and achievements
To make paper they used mulberry, fibres,
fishnets, old rags and hemp waste.
Paper was also used for saving tea’s flavor.
The Chinese did this by storing the tea.

-In agriculture, water conservation and irrigation projects were built. Cattle and iron farm tools were used to plough the land-The silk road was created from Chang’an, through Central Asia and onto the east coast of the Mediterranean Sea- Controlled the silk and salt industry, the Chinese also learned how to mine salt (instead of obtaining salt from sea)

- Agricultural foods include rice, wheat, beans, barley, and foxtail and proso millet (type of grain)- In addition, the Chinese exported teas, sugar, spices, and poreclain (ceramic material)- The Chinese imported cotton, ivory, wool, gold, and silver
