Customers today are experiencing the many cost saving advantages and performance benefits associated through the use of polyester strapping over other packaging alternatives. Since polyester strapping uses either a heat or friction seal to weld the strap, there is no requirement for metal seals. Plastic strapping also offers a lower cost per foot than steel, as well as reduced damage to your products through the use of seals or staining. Manufactured to the tightest industry tolerances, Samuel’s polyester strapping is AAR approved for use with brick and lumber. It has excellent retained tension properties which makes it ideal for heavy duty loads that require good initial tension as well as retained tension. This keeps the strap tight around the load even if the package settles and shrinks in size. Samuel’s polyester strapping is designed for use with a variety of hand tools and high speed automated unitizing systems. Our plastic strapping is available in a wide range of gauges and widths, and lengths up to 20 000’ in our Super Jumbo coils for automated equipment. Polyester strapping is safe to handle and is easily recycled. To find out more about the many cost efficient and innovative solutions available, call Samuel Strapping Systems today. SavingsPolyester’s unique qualities make it one of thebest strapping materials to use for securingany type of palletized or unitized load.Depending on the size of steel strappingcurrently being used, polyester strapping canprovide up to a 25% savings in strappingcosts. Polyester can eliminate the need formetal seals in certain applications, whichprovides additional savings and reducesproduct damage that might occur through theuse of other packaging alternatives.

Proven PerformanceSamuel Strapping Systems Research andDevelopment eorts have led to theintroduction of industrial strength polyesterstrapping, approved by the Association ofAmerican Railroads (AAR) for open top andclosed rail car shipments of Brick, Lumber andother panel products.

Ease of DisposalPolyester strapping can be easily disposed ofby rolling or bending. Also, it can be cut intosmall pieces with our HLC80 Strap Chopperand accumulated for recycling.

Elongation RecoveryPolyester strapping provides approximately2% elongation at normal work tension, whichallows the materials to stretch. The strappingwill recover this elongation however, keepingthe strapping tight around the package even ifthe load settles and shrinks in size.

Moisture & UV ResistantBecause it is plastic, it is moisture resistantand therefore unaected by rusting that mightoccur with other packaging alternatives whichmay stain or aect the quality of your productbefore it gets to its destination. Our polyesterstrapping is also UV resistant to protectstrapping from long periods of exposure to thesun.
