Global equestrian brand Horka International adds Polygiene treated items to its collections Horka, has been a well-known and reputable brand in the equestrian industry for more than 62 years, selling high quality equestrian and performance sport clothing to retailers worldwide. Horka has includ-ed Polygiene in its sports collection for a number of seasons and this winter, Polygiene can be found in their vest and technical shirts in the Peak Performance sports segment.

This year, Horka announced a collaboration with the KNHS, the Dutch Equestrian Federation, and they have become the official apparel supplier of the Dutch Equestrian Team & Fan clothings. The Horka team designed and developed a line of clothing that is worn by riders of the various disciplines during (inter)national competitions. In this line, a number of pieces are made from performance fabric treated with Polygiene Stays Fresh technology. The ultimate test came this September at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA, where team members were impressed by the excellent way the cloth-ing held up in the high heat & humidity, keeping them comfortable, dry and fresh. Specifically, that the description of the treatment’s active ingredient is in line with the demands of the BPR. US Law Enforcement will be staying fresh with new Polygiene treated gearWe want to share an interesting story how a small, technical fabric and performance gear company from Spain, General Tactics became the provider of US law enforcement for their technical shirts. They started in the outdoor and workwear industry with a focus on per-formance garments. The law enforcement industry saw the need for high performance uniforms and initially, General Tactics answered to these regional needs and developed specific technical fabrics for them. Global Sporting Goods Manufacturer Yonex co., Ltd, the world leading manufacturer of golf, tennis and badminton equipment and apparel, have signed an agreement to use Polygiene Stays Fresh Technology in their products and a number of models are currently in stores.

The Japanese company was founded in 1946 and has over the years built a strong global presence and are driven to produce the most technologically advanced sports equipment to enable players, both amateur and professional, to play their sport at the highest level.

SOG sustainability charter At the Scandinavian Outdoor Group summit in Malmö this Septem-ber, Polygiene signed the SOG Sustainability Charter along with over 47 other Scandinavian brands. The Scandinavian Outdoor Group has, as the first organization in Europe, jointly signed up to support the European Outdoor Group (EOG) Sustainability Charter that was launched in 2016. This is a voluntary charter to work together towards key sustainability objectives for the outdoor sector.

Reducing Water Consumption

At the Fall 2018 Performance Days Fair in Munich, Polygiene’s PhD and CMO Mats Georgson joined an expert talk focused on reducing water consumption that was hosted and moderated by industry expert and design consultant, Charles Ross. Georgson was one of five on the panel. The event was well attended with great points made across the board but it was Georgson who made the final remarks that wrapped up the panel addressing the fact that globally, we are in a major water crisis and it is through the use of technology and simply washing less, that we can help mediate our current water issues. Polygiene and Helly Hansen Japan at the Nippon CupBetween Oct 12th and 13th, more than 30 teams of Japanese top level racers gathered at the Yacht Race Nippon Cup, at Hayama Yacht Club, Japan. The H/H team has always been the leading sponsor of the event as well as the producer of the official tee for the participants. This year, all tees were treated with Polygiene Stays Fresh Technology. H/H has a store at the Yacht Club where they present new items, including Polygiene treated inner wear collections.

At the event, Polygiene was present in the H/H booth to highlight the Stays Fresh functionality, which is very useful for sailors being out in the ocean for days without the possibility to shower or dry garments.
