Pope John Paul II High School is a Catholic high school in Upper Providence Town-

ship, Pennsylvania, near Royersford in Montgomery County within the Archdiocese of Philadel-

phia. Pope John Paul II High School opened in September, 2010, and it is the Philadelphia area's

first new Catholic high school and school community in 43 years The opening of our school is a

tribute to the traditions of our six schools of legacy, and the Archdiocese's commitment to that

legacy by providing an exceptional Catholic education for generations to come.

Royersford is a borough in Montgomery Coun-

ty, Pennsylvania, 32 miles (51 km) northwest

of Philadelphia, on the Schuylkill River, and a member

of the Spring-Ford Area School District. The town drew

its name from the location of a ford across the Schuylk-

ill River, which happened to be adjacent to land owned

by the Royer family. The population was 4,752 at the

2010 census.

COLLEGE MATRICULATION

Traditional learning takes place in the classroom and, with 29 general

classrooms, PJP offers ample space for students to gather and learn.

Nowhere is our commitment to leading edge technology more ap-

parent than PJP’s five fully functional science labs that will give

students the hands-on experiences necessary to prepare them for the

complex challenges of college and beyond. The 1,200-seat auditori-

um, complete with theatrical staging and lighting, plays host to a

variety of special events like concerts, plays, assemblies and school

masses. The fitness center provides students with modern gym equip-
