Interior and exterior surfaces of the carbon steel body are specifically coated in epoxy to protect against corrosion. Differential pressure gauges provide a simple visual warning which helps to prevent premature cartridge change-outs.

Primary contaminants come from dirt and water. The source of dirt and water originates from onsite storage tanks, conveyance to equipment fuel tanks, and equipment fuel tanks.

Water contamination corrodes fuel systems, promotes bacterial growth, which results in plugged fuel filtration systems. Dirt plugs filters and injectors and impacts the combustion efficiency of the engine, resulting in a loss of power.
