Personalizzabile

iFood 2008

“iFood” is a concept developed in Politecnico di Milano inspired to iPod in the shape because it wants to make

the meal portable like iPod did in the musical field. The persona for this product is everybody is looking for

adventure like skaters or snowboarders. Indeed iFood can contain an energetic drink and some energetic

food (like biscuits, chocolate bars or energetic bars) and no tools are necessary to have the meal, so it is

perfect to recover energies without losing time.Besides iFood works as keyring and it is personalizable :

scratching it a first white layer of special paint will come out and under there will be red paint (on the left

there are examples of the product’s material “scratched”).

Graphic Communication 22008-2009Pro-E & Alias projects

These are two projects made in Brunel University for the Graphic Communi-cation 2 course. The first project was the creation with Pro-E of a bottle of perfume made of nine parts, its assembly, draw-ings and rendering. The second project was the creation with Alias of the model of an Hi-Fi system with ipod dock and its rendering.

This project, made in Brunel University, was

the creation of a Second Life exposition and a Website related

to Art Nouveau. The website is about Art Nouveau’s jewels and i remodelled the

jewels for the Second Life expo.

Bentley Pocket : Keep a Bentley in one hand. This concept was made in a three day work-

shop organised by Bentley at Brunel University. The project it’s similar to a smart phone but it’s

more than that. It works as car’s key, with a fingerprint’s reader, and it has a GPS connec-tion that allows you to locate your car and if

you have the chaffeur it sends a signal to him. Once in the car Bentley Pocket connects itself

with Bentley’s Infotainment System, this way you can control everything directly from the

touch screen.

Design Process 2 RCL project

This concept was made in Brunel University for “Remote Controlled Lighting” Brand and is an indoor wall light that

change colour regulated by a timer. This change of colours will be used to tell the time. The target market for this

product is wide because it can be used in hotels, restau-rants, offices and shops, with RGB LEDs that during the day will change a vaste range of colours to tell the time. Besides

it can be used in clubs, bars, pubs and houses with only red and green LEDs, for bars it will be green when the bar opens and turn yellow and finally red around the closing time. The

product for the houses will be a spherical lamp that turn on when you press it and it will be green at the beginning and

red at the end, this way you’ll never be late.

2008-2009

RCL Feedback of the product : “Novel idea of using light to tell time - Looking forward to the final design.”

Design Process 2 DINKY project

First as a group we have created the brand ‘cook in colour’, then i have

designed, following the brand, ‘Salad Ball’ that is a salad bowl that make the

preparation, especially themixing, of fruit and vegetables simple

and enjoyable and avoid the fall of fruit and vegetables out from the bowl.

The salad bowl has a spherical shape and is covered by rubber, like this you

can play with it like with aball, shaking it, spinning it, and bounc-

ing it on the table.

Rossociliegia Workshop Circular Backgammon

This project was made in Politecnico di Milano during a Workshop for Rossociliegia, Brand specialized in Steel Design. It was made to com-

memorate the 150th Italian unification anniversary. It consists in a re-design of the famous backgammon game, the base of the game is

made of steel and circular rather than rectangular, as is usual to see it. This was made not only to give a touch of innovation and change to

one of the most classic games but also to improve the flow of the game from one quadrant to another. The game board, with its circular shape, also wants to remember a clock, thus invoking the idea of the

time flow and especially the 150 years from 1861 to 2011. The pawns are shaped like a bent clip, obtainable through a simple bending, and are easily stackable. The dices are hexagonal, with the sides bent from

the base to the top and able to emulate a common dice.

The final project is a portable defoliator

that works as a pump. By emitting an air jet under pressure

this defoliator can separate the leaves

from the olives directly on the

collection site at a rate four times

higher than what it takes to separate

them by hand.

The portable defoliator can be used either by hand or foot.

The hand use is better because when you empty and

refill the small shovel you don’t have to bend over. If

there isn’t any table, boxes or the van’s back can be used as

support. If there are no other options or the user prefers to use it

by foot, the product has been designed ergonomically for

both uses.

This project wants to improve the design of the RomeoMaestri frame

nailer. The body is made of ABS instead of folded aluminum, so there is a riduction of the production cost,

and it’s easier to assemble too.Other strenghts are : a more ergo-

nomic grip, lines that communicate the shot direction, greater tool

stability with a wider base, an indica-tor for the tension mechanism and interaction between the two but-

tons to open the magazine.
